Over 350 people participated in the 2012 version of Ex 4 Vets on the flight deck of the USS Midway on Saturday, October 20. Over $31000 in pledge money was raised to support Embrace programs that benefit homeless (Embrace The Streets) and disabled (Healing Our Heroes #39; Homes) veterans. The 1-Hour long workout was once again lead by fitness Guru Cindy Whitmarsh and her team. Colors were presented by the San Diego Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers (9th 10th Horse Cavalry) and the Star Spangled Banner was sung by The Garcia 3. Jami Oakley, President of The Dog Lovers Ministry from the Rock Church was the individual that raised the most pledge money and SDSU Kappa Sigma Fraternity was group that raised most pledge money. Presenting Sponsor was Military Home Loans. Partnering sponsor was Horn of Africa. Community Sponsors were Give Something Back Office Supply, Alliance Healthcare Foundation, Barona Band of Mission Indians and American Legion Post 201, Lemon Grove.
