Diet Doc HCG Diet & Weight Loss Announces Doctor-Managed, HCG Diet Forum To Help Success on HCG Diet
Diet Doc HCG Diet announces new diet doctor managed forum for those on the diet HCG
Seatte, WA (PRWEB) March 10, 2012
Diet Doc is the only modern-day weight loss program in the USA providing medically, supervised weight loss to people nationwide. Diet Doc is a comprehensive, weight loss program which personalizes a diet specific to each persons health history, gender, age and lifestyle. This is how Diet Doc is able to shave 7 pounds per week (on average) reports Julie Wright, president of Diet Doc.
HCG dieters often resort to the Internet for answers to common diet questions. The problem is the Diet Doc HCG Diet protocol, or the individualized diet the weight loss doctors create for each person is not on the Internet. This is why the Diet Doc HCG Diet Forum and Blog is helpful for dieters.
Four years ago, a team of physicians offering the outdated, 1950 Dr. A.T.W. Simeon's HCG diet protocol discovered that muscle loss was occurring in people consuming 500 calories per day. They discovered this when people were analyzed with a body impedance analysis machine that only doctors can buy and use to as a test to analyze cellular health and muscle loss. It was this point, the diet doctors set out to modernize the original, prescription HCG diet.
The Diet Doctors found that it isn't necessary to consume so few calories (500/day). By adding weight loss products, such as weight loss shakes, weight loss oil (used to make salad dressing and cooking), they were able to increase calories substantially, but still realized 7 pounds of weight loss on average per person.
Diet Doc HCG Diet & Weight Loss is often asked for their expert commentary on celebrity weight loss. Refer to Star Magazine, Kim Kardashian published 3/5/2012.

MyNetDiary’s Food and Exercise Tracker Works with Any Diet
Popular calorie counter service makes the most of any popular diet plan.
Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) March 08, 2012
The power of MyNetDiarys detailed food and exercise tracking service is its ability to document precisely what we eat, how many calories we burn and even when we eat, explains Katherine Isacks, Registered Dietitian with MyNetDiary, and people can track calories on-the-go with MyNetDiarys mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry.
As the U.S. News recently released its top 25 diets, based on being relatively easy to follow, nutritious, safe and effective for weight loss and against diabetes and heart diseases, MyNetDiary serves as a tool that can effectively assist anyone on these diets to make them extremely effective.
For instance, the top-ranking diet, according to U.S. News, is the DASH Diet. Originally developed to fight high blood pressure, it emphasizes eating foods high in potassium, calcium, protein and fiber, while cutting back on sodium. MyNetDiary members can track all these nutrients easily by logging meals and snacks. MyNetDiary allows for tracking over 40 different macro and micro-nutrients.
Other diets, especially ones that use point system, benefit from using MyNetDiary in conjunction because it can translate the simplistic point systems into actual nutritional values people can understand. Over time, dieters will see a correlation between points, calories and particular macro-nutrients, which will equip them to make better food choices without the need to count points at all.
MyNetDiary teaches people to be able to look over a Nutrition Facts label on any food package and determine if its a healthy choice, says Isacks. While points will help people make choices based upon calories, they are not as helpful when youre standing in the grocery aisle trying to choose between two types of breakfast cereals. However, knowing how to decipher calories, fat, carbs and other nutrients on the spot can help you make the right choice. But for those who do like the simplicity of points, MyNetDiary offers a Food Score, which provides an easy to read numerical +/- score for determining a foods healthfulness.
Food journaling adds accountability to dieting, and for many people trying to lose weight, especially through diets that are unfamiliar, the act of keeping track of calories consumed and calories burned keeps them engaged with the process, which may help them succeed.
For more information about how the MyNetDiary calorie counter works with each of the U.S. News Top 25 diets, or to arrange an interview with Registered Dietitian, Katherine Isacks, contact MyNetDiary at (800) 385-7461 ext. 1015 or visit http://www.mynetdiary.com.

The Skinny on Weight Loss: Part III
Posted: Wednesday, March 7, 2012 12:15 am | Updated: 12:29 am, Wed Mar 7, 2012.
How to obtain rapid weight loss safely and not create nutrition deficiencies.
In my previous editorials on weight loss, Part I and Part II, I discussed the following:
1. Weight loss is not natural; our physiology favors fat storage, not fat loss. The mere act of losing weight, skipping meals, decreasing our food intake and hyperinsulinemia (too much insulin) all either signal our bodies that we are in famine, or cause the enzymes that control fat burning or fat storage to favor fat storage.
2. Losing weight most often is really losing lean tissues such as muscle, organ tissues and hormones, as well as fat, which slows our metabolism and sets us up for fat storage as well as is dangerous. This is one reason why 95 percent of those who lose weight will gain it back.
I also discussed how ultimately it is a dysfunctional pancreas that causes too much insulin to be released in our bodies, leading to insulin resistance (type II diabetes), high cholesterol, high blood pressure and central obesity (abdominal girth greater than 40 inches in males and 35 inches in females). These are known as the "deadly quartet," metabolic syndrome or Syndrome X which has skyrocketed in the past 30 years. (Even though my waist was a size 34, my abdominal girth measured 39.5 inches just prior to Thanksgiving 2009 and I am sure it exceeded that following the holidays. I believe in walking the walk if I talk the talk so I went on the Ideal Protein diet Dec. 27 and lost 25 pounds within six weeks!)
So what is it that causes a dysfunctional pancreas? It is the typical North American diet, grossly disproportional in its share of saturated fats and sugars such as in breads, cereals, muffins, cakes, pastries, pasta, rice, corn, fast foods and surprisingly diet soda, that has caused this cascade of physiologic events and a host of other related conditions including several types of cancers, sleep apnea, arthritis, gout, stroke, heart disease, etc. And once on the medications prescribed for these conditions we are told that we will be on them for life. We are told that we must lose weight to prevent or maybe reverse these conditions. If we are even told how to lose weight we are usually led to these three ways:
1) Eat less
2) Eat a balanced (healthy) diet
3) Exercise

10 must-have health & fitness apps
Training calendar
To help keep track of your training and schedule fitness activities into a busy week, a training calendar is essential. Not only will your calendar help you remember to make time for exercise and keep on top of fitness appointments, but it will give an overview of how much (or how little) you are training so that you can track your progress and up your game if necessary.
Alcohol is part of many peoples lives but, as we all know, it needs to be enjoyed in moderation. Handy apps which explain your alcohol limits according to your BMI and lifestyle as well as calculating your consumption of alcohol units can be your best friend if youre dieting, keeping track of your health or want to know your bounds. Often, people dont realise the extent of their alcohol consumption so apps like this should be an essential.
Research suggests that walking 10,000 steps a day can significantly improve your wellbeing by burning calories, improving energy levels and maintaining a healthy heart. However, many of us fall short of this mark. A pedometer can help track how many steps you are taking, your speed and the approximate number of calories burned. It can also help motivate you to walk more as you see the steps clocking up.
Setting goals is great for your mental health and happiness and, depending on your objectives, can be great for your fitness levels too. To help you manage and achieve your goals, make sure you download a goal-tracking app where you can list and be reminded of your goals, share them with others for some moral support, analyse your progress and ultimately cross things off your list. These apps are great for increasing motivation and boosting your sense of achievement.
Getting a good nights sleep is essential for good health, with research suggesting that sleep can help you live longer, boost your memory and reduce stress. However, many people struggle to switch off after a stressful day and find that their sleep patterns suffer. Luckily, there are a variety of apps available to help you prepare for a restful night, including meditation apps, apps to help you customise a sleeping soundtrack and tools for analysing your sleep habits.
It can be tricky to keep track of your calorie consumption when youre aiming to lose weight, but with a handy calorie counting app youll be in the know about how much youve consumed, where you can cut back and which foods are taking you over your limit. By totting up the calories contained in the foods you eat you can adopt improved eating habits and maintain a healthy weight. A useful app like this may be simple but is a must-have.
With so many different ways to exercise it can sometimes get a bit overwhelming and confusing. Questions like how can I properly stretch my hamstrings? and what is the most effective way to tone my stomach? can be answered with your own virtual personal trainer app. Images or videos explaining how to carry out certain exercises or stretches will enable you to get the most out of your gym or home workout safely and with confidence.
Achieving an optimum heart rate when you are exercising is a great way to maximise the benefits of your workout, so being able to easily measure it using your phone is a big help. This clever kind of app allows you to place your finger over the phones camera, which will then measure your pulse. Simply subtract your age from 220 to find your maximum heart rate, and then aim for 60-80% of this heart rate when you are working out to reach the optimum level.
Run tracker apps use the GPS in your phone to keep a record of a whole host of running stats, including distance, route, average speed and elevation. You can then upload this data to a computer, so you can keep a record of your running progress over time and store the maps of your favourite routes.

HAVE an exercise buddy. http://IMAGES.AGORAMEDIA.COM
Your motivation to shed pounds is higher now because swimsuit season is fast approaching. You might have achieved some fantastic results from your efforts right after the holiday season, but you can still aim to look your best in the next four to six weeks.
One of the easiest ways to get started is to maximize what your fitness community offers so that your goal is doable and funbetter than exerting too much effort to follow programs that dont really suit your needs and schedule.
Here are some ideas you can try in your family or community setting. Studies show that working out together is more effective than if you work out alone.
Buddy system
According to Martina Cartwright in the article How Friends Influence Weight, published in the IDEA Fitness Journal (March 2012), our close companions play a significant role in molding fitness habits through social modeling.
She writes the results of the global Edelman Health Barometer survey (2011): 43 percent of those surveyed said friends and family have the most impact on personal health lifestyle, 36 percent admitted that close social ties have the most impact on personal nutrition, and about two-thirds said they tried to modify negative health behavior, but half failed partly because of lack of social support. So, exercising with a group of friends or a buddy this summer can be an effective strategy.
Set a date when you and your buddy can start a summer fitness program. You can be his/her fitness buddy/coach during the program and even after. You report your eating and exercise schedule every time you see each other, then give each other feedback and suggestions on how to improve.
Set realistic goals by avoiding drastic weight loss, crash diets and over-exercising. If you lose four to eight pounds of fat in the next four to six weeks, thats good enough.
Aside from weight loss, think of healthy habits to develop in the few weeks, like avoiding fastfood, replacing sodas with water, eliminating high-sodium seasonings and burning additional calories by walking 30 minutes every day, aside from the regular exercise program.

WEBSITE OF THE DAY: Weight Wins
Time for a quick check-in with those New Year resolutions, people.
How's it all going? Still off the fags? Still drinking two litres of water a day? Still getting your five a day?
Yes? Good for you.
But if one of your resolutions was to lose a bit of weight, and you're finding it a bit of a struggle (sorry we really shouldn't have made a big deal out of pancake day) then http://www.weightwins.com could be worth a try.
They're not really all that interested in how you lose weight. As long as you do it safely and sensibly they'll reward you.
And not with badges, stickers or patronising slaps on the back either.
Here, if you lose a few pounds you gain a few pounds in the shape of reward vouchers or even cold hard cash.
As incentives go, it's hard to beat and we reckon this could be one really good way to drop a kilo or two and keep it dropped.
But just one more pancake first - we seem to have some batter left over

Parents Need to Have "The Talk" About Smartphone Security with Their Kids
SAN JOSE, Calif., and WASHINGTON, D.C., March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- NQ Mobile Inc., (NYSE: NQ - News), a leading provider of consumer-centric mobile security and productivity applications, and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), a non-profit public-private partnership focused on cybersecurity awareness and education for all digital citizens, today released findings from a recent consumer survey(1) that shed light on how parents think and act in order to protect the mobile privacy and security of their children.
(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20120125/CN41481LOGO-b ) (Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20120301/CN61763LOGO )
The newly released findings show that a majority of parents have not talked to their children about protecting their privacy when using a mobile phone (56%), or talked to their children about security measures for their phones (63%).
The survey also found that while the majority of parents (71%) are aware of parental controls that can help protect their kids by monitoring usage, establishing time limits and blocking websites, apps, GPS location, and access to personal data, 60% have never used them. Of those surveyed, moms were more comfortable and more likely to have actually used parental controls.
"Too few parents are talking with their children about malware, hacking and other threats to mobile security and privacy," said NQ Mobile co-Chief Executive Officer Omar Khan. "That is no surprise, when many adults don't feel they know enough to protect themselves. Talking to your kids about how to protect the personal information on their phones, however, is every bit as necessary as having 'The Talk' about 'the birds and the bees.' Smartphones can provide a young person with independence and information. Used carelessly, they can also provide hackers, bullies and thieves with access to your child's personal information, expose them to theft, and even track their location. Parents need to learn more about threats like this, and the very real steps they can take to protect their whole family."
Parents whose kids own smartphones tend to be less aware of security threats and mobile security solutions that combat those threats than parents whose kids don't own smartphones. This surprising result may suggest that parents who are highly aware of mobile threats are so concerned they decide not to give their children phones at all.
Overall, parents who are more aware of and concerned about security threats and privacy issues are more willing to talk to their children about them.
"As smartphone use increases, more and more parents are going to be buying mobile devices for their children at earlier ages, and we want to make sure they are armed with enough information to make safe, sensible decisions," said Michael Kaiser, executive director of the National Cyber Security Alliance. "A young person who is responsible enough to own a smartphone, can also take responsibility for protecting their phone and the information on it. Some security measures are simple and straightforward: create strong passwords and don't share them with friends or anyone but your parents, exercise caution in sharing personal information online, don't lose or misplace your phone. We always encourage digital citizens -- especially young ones -- to take an active role in learning safe practices and behaviors, and follow three simple steps: STOP. THINK. CONNECT."
NQ Mobile recently released the latest version of its award-winning antivirus software, Mobile Security V6.0 for Android. The state-of-the-art in mobile protection, NQ Mobile Security V6.0 includes several features designed to help parents protect their children's mobile lives:
