Can Body Shaming Be Outlawed? – The New York Times
But had we really swayed far enough in the other direction, toward genuine acceptance, away from the view that a low body mass index was something to venerate? Fat activists believe that we have not, which is why there are proposed laws in the New York City Council as well as in the State Legislature that would make weight (and height) discrimination illegal, particularly as it relates to employment and housing(exceptions would be made for certain occupations).
Whatever progress has been made, prejudice against the overweight has hardly been eliminated. Four years ago, researchers at Harvard published a study in the journal Psychological Science that looked at data from four million tests taken between 2004 and 2016 examining long-term changes in attitude toward historically marginalized groups. The study found that while explicit bias against the overweight had decreased by 15 percent, this represented a much slower decline than similar shifts in attitude toward gays and lesbians, where the figure was 49 percent. This may be because, unlike race or sexual orientation, weight is thought of as mutable. The only barrier to losing it, presumably, is a weakness of will.
Business leaders, who point to higher health care costs for obese workers, have predictably expressed concern that legislation of the kind under consideration would unduly burden the courts because of all the resulting litigation. In truth, these cases are very hard to push forward. We know this because Michigan has had a weight discrimination law on the books since the mid-1970s. (The state of Washington, the only one to have followed, added added its own law a few years ago.)
Recently, Jon Marko, a civil rights lawyer in Detroit, laid out the odds. Most of the time there is not direct evidence of bias, and while the Michigan law allows for circumstantial evidence to be brought in as well, that is amuch harder route to building a case. Direct evidence might be an employer who says, Oh, sweetie, you need to lose some weight before you can get that promotion, Mr. Marko told me. That is rare. Sometimes a weight case can be embedded in a harassment case, and those are more promising. Mr. Marko offered the example of a boss in the habit of squeezing a subordinates love handles.
At the level of federal law, weight is not a protected category. Still, in 1992, flight attendants sued United Airlines on the basis that its weight requirements were too restrictive the maximum weight for a 30-year-old, 5-foot-7 woman, for example, was 142 pounds. United wound up abandoning these rules altogether two years later, because the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit agreed that the complaint was a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which bans employment discrimination on the grounds of race, religion and sex. Men working in the same capacity at United were subject to more forgiving standards.

Ezekiel Elliott’s workout video receives backlash as NFL fans urge RB to lose weight: "Staying ready for the XFL" – Sportskeeda
Modified Apr 14, 2023 12:35 GMT
With his NFL future in limbo, Ezekiel Elliott is seemingly not wasting any time. B/R Gridiron recently shared a video of the former Dallas Cowboys running back going through some training drills.
Interestingly, the post attracted mixed reactions from fans on Twitter. Many felt the running back looked out of shape and needed to work on his fitness in order to remain in the NFL.
The Dallas Cowboys released Elliott earlier this offseason, four years after he signed a six-year, $90 million extension. He looked like a reliable option for the Cowboys backfield then. But last season, Tony Pollard had 1,007 yards while Elliott had 876.
Thats a significant difference, considering Pollard started in only four games. As a result, Pollard received a $10 million franchise tag from the Cowboys. Conversely, Elliotts production did not justify his massive salary, making him a salary cap casualty.
Furthermore, Ezekiel Elliotts decline prompted FOX Sports personality and die-hard Cowboys fan Skip Bayless to call him a one-year wonder. The 'Undisputed: Skip and Shannon' host said:
Its certainly a depressing turnaround for a player who burst onto the NFL scene as a rookie in 2016. The Cowboys took him as the fourth overall selection in that years draft and he became the Week 1 starter that season. He finished the campaign with a league-leading 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns. Those numbers earned him First Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections.
More importantly, he and fellow rookie Dak Prescott led the Cowboys to a 13-3 record that year. They lost to the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round, 34-31.
Things went south for Ezekiel Elliott after being suspended for the first six games of the 2017 season for violating the leagues personal conduct policy. The suspension came after domestic violence allegations were made by his ex-girlfriend. Still, he finished his sophomore year with 983 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games.
Elliotts decline started after two solid seasons, (1,434 yards in 2018 and 1,357 yards in 2019) when it took him 11 games before having his first 100-yard rushing performance in 2020, finishing with 979 yards.
A year later, lingering ankle and knee injuries limited him to 1,002 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in 17 games. His output last season seemingly made the Cowboys decide theyre good to go even without him.
However, it isn't fair to say that Ezekiel Elliott's career is over. He will likely have another opportunity soon, which might come during the 2023 NFL season when injuries pile up.

RHONJ’s Dolores Catania sparks major backlash after revealing she is using Ozempic for weight loss – Daily Mail
By Deirde Simonds and Shirley Donlon For Dailymail.com 18:52 05 Apr 2023, updated 19:15 05 Apr 2023

The TV personality then clarified she was 'actually [taking] Mounjaro,' which is a very similar drug to Ozempic.
Marysol Patton, who was sitting next to Catania, then marveled at how Mounjaro has become 'the fast forward' button 'to Skinnyville.'
'The reunion is in two weeks. I do have a trainer [as well],' Catania said.
After the episode aired, viewers flocked to social media to call outCatania's latest interview as'unhealthy and triggering.'
'Dolores saying its #Ozempic so proudly just took me out lol smh [shaking my head],' one Twitter user wrote.
Another asked: 'Wait isnt there a shortage of Ozempic for diabetes patients? And Dolores just casually admitted shes on it with a big smile on her face?'
A third noted that it was 'kind of messed up that Dolores and the rest of the #RHONJ cast' were 'so quick to jump on the Ozempic train as their cast mate Jackie [Goldschneider] is recovering from an eating disorder.'
Other reactions included on Twitter user exclaiming: 'OMG. Dolores is on Ozempic too. This is crazy!'
Some, however, applauded her 'for being so honest.'
Back in 2019, she shed 25 pounds by reducing how often she ate out at restaurants, cutting out specific foods from her diet and becoming more strict overall about what she ate.
'People around me that I know have been losing weight,' the Bravo star told Life & Style, before revealing that her costar Teresa Giudice's daughter, Milania, inspired her to get in shape.
She continued: 'Actually two young girls my niece Sarah and Milania Giudice. She lost so much weight and she's still losing weight.'
'I was getting heavier I go up and down in weight, I had to stop,' she added.
In order to shed weight and become healthier, she opted to take part in a 45-day diet program at Elite Health Center in New Jersey.
The plan had her making drastic changes to her daily diet, including cutting out 'all sugars, all carbs,' and oil.
Dolores added that her ex-husband Frank Catania, whom she has remained close friends with since the pair divorced over 20 years ago, didn't believe how seriously she would take the diet either.
'Everybody laughed at me, made fun of me,' the star added.
Describing the diet the adopted, Dolores said she was allowed to consume a mere 750 calories per day.
And, although she was determined to incorporate exercise into her weight-loss plan, her busy schedule got in the way.
She said: 'I really, really was motivated, I really wanted to do it. Unfortunately, I was so busy, I didn't get to work out. Had I worked out during this diet, I probably would've lost another six or seven pounds.'
The reality TV star said that, although the diet plan was effective for her, it isn't suitable for everyone.
'This is not for someone who is not committed. I did not want to spend my summer with the weight that I put on over the winter,' she said.
Dolores added that she 'needed' to complete the diet program to achieve her 'summer body'.
'Weight does not come off easily as you get older, it just doesn't. Back when we were younger, we could lose it quick.
'I knew that this was the diet for me to get my kick-start for the summer and lose the weight that I needed within a month or so,' she said.
4 Surprising Plant-Based Proteins To Help You Lose Weight – Yahoo Life
If you dont eat meat and youre trying to lose weight before the summer, you might worry youre not getting enough protein to nourish you for your workouts. Not to worry! All plants contain some level of protein. Actually, plant-based proteins have some advantages over meat. They can provide more fiber and less saturated fat, and theyre also less calorically dense. So, even if youre not a vegan or vegetarian, you may want to consider including them in your diet to help you lose weight.
To learn more about the best plant-based proteins to lose visceral fat, we spoke with a registered dietitian, food scientist, and recipe developer, Jennifer Pallian. She recommends the proteins legumes, tofu and tempeh, plant-based yogurts, and nuts to reduce stomach fat because they keep blood sugar and energy levels stable while thwarting cravings. By swapping out animal-based proteins with plant-based options, you can boost your fiber, antioxidant, vitamin, and mineral intake. Find out more below!

"If you're looking to reduce stomach fat," Pallian says, "incorporating plant-based proteins into your diet can be a great way to do it." Specifically, she recommends eating legumes to get your daily plant-based protein and still lose weight! A legume is a plant or a seed from a plant in the Fabaceae family. And, when it's used as a dry grain, the seed is also called a pulse. Some common legumes include beans, soybeans, chickpeas, peanuts, and more.
"Pulses are a great source of protein and fiber, both of which can help reduce belly fat," Pallian notes. One healthy and tasty recipe you can make with legumes is a spicy chickpea buffalo wrap which she says is a "filling, protein-and-fiber packed lunch idea that includes lots of vibrant vegetables." Yum! Or, try a traditional South Indian red lentil dal (a dish that contains dried pulses that do not require soaking before cooking) that Pallian says is "packed with flavor and takes only 5 minutes of effort!"
Story continues
Pallian also recommends the plant-based proteins tofu and tempeh to lose visceral fat. Tofu is condensed soy milk that people press into varying levels of softness. The resulting solid white blocks come in silken, soft, firm, extra firm, or super firm levels. Similarly, tempeh or tempe is a traditional Indonesian food that is made from soybeans that are fermented into cake form. It actually contains more fiber and protein than tofu because it contains the whole bean. The soy protein in tempeh is more digestible because of the fermentation process.
"Soy products like tofu and tempeh are excellent plant-based protein sources that may help prevent belly-fat gain after menopause. A study of [15] postmenopausal women found that those who drank a soy-based shake every day for three months tended to gain less abdominal fat than those who did not," Pallian notes. A tofu-based recipe that she highly recommends is chili-garlic tofu.
If you're like us, you may be asking yourself what is "plant-based yogurt?" Pallian explains that plant-based yogurt is, as the name suggests, yogurt made from plants. It's typically made from nuts (like almonds, cashews, and coconuts) and even other foods like soybeans, plantains, oats, and peas. Plant-based yogurts are a great way for those who are lactose intolerant, allergic to milk, or just don't like milk to still get the incredible benefits of dairy-based yogurts!
"A systematic review of research showed a significantly greater weight loss among people taking probiotics, and there is some evidence that probiotics can help specifically reduce belly fat. When choosing a plant yogurt, read labels and compare protein content per serving," Pallian explains. Yogurt can also help reduce stomach inflammation which she says "has been linked to an increase in belly fat."
We probably don't have to tell you how healthy nuts are. Dietitians and nutritionists rave about this food group all the time! They are rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats which can help you feel fuller for longer. And, nuts are also low in carbs.
"Nuts are a great snack to help with weight loss. They are packed with healthy fats, protein, and fiber that can help keep you full for longer and reduce cravings. Studies have found that eating small amounts of nuts helps dieters lose weight," Pallian notes, "A serving of nuts is 1 ounceabout a handfuland has about 160 to 200 calories."
"Protein in general helps keep blood sugar stable to keep energy levels steady and help thwart cravings. And swapping portions of animal proteins for plant proteins not only boosts fiber, antioxidant, and vitamin and mineral intake, it has been linked to decreased inflammation," Pallian says.
To help reduce visceral fat, you can try adopting a diet rich in plant-based protein. Proteins like legumes, tofu and tempeh, plant-based yogurts, and nuts help build and maintain lean muscle, maintain effective metabolic function, and keep you fuller longer. They're brimming with fiber, inflammation-fighting antioxidants, lots of nutrients, and fewer calories!

Can adding lemon to your coffee really help you lose weight? – AOL
There's something of a modern legend around adding lemon to your coffee. Proponents say that the combination will help you burn fat. Not only that, but some say that it's nutritious and can help fight everything from diarrhea to headaches. Those claims see a bit, well, inflated, so we talked to two dietitians to separate the health from the hype.
It's probably not a surprise that most of these claims spread widely on social media the coffee and lemon trend initially went viral thanks to a TikTok challenge. The idea behind it was seductively simple: squeeze some lemon into your coffee to help burn fat and, consequently, kickstart your weight-loss journey. Thousands and thousands of folks jumped on board.
Plenty of TikTok users posted videos of themselves trying the trend and some of them have been quite candid in saying that they don't exactly dig the flavor combo. Some folks said "hell no" after giving it the old college try, including one TikTok user that said she actually gained weight after drinking lemon in her coffee for a week straight.
Still, many swore that a touch of lemon in their coffee has helped them shed some pounds including this TikTok user, who claimed to lose eight pounds in two weeks in two weeks. So does it really work?
Like so many social media trends, we can't really pinpoint how or why this one got started. But it's likely that whoever kicked off this viral challenge was thinking about the much-touted value of adding a lemon slice to your water.
We were curious to know if there's any evidence that adding lemon to beverages can help you lose weight, so we asked New York City-based registered dietitian and co-author of "Sugar Shock" Samantha Cassetty, to weigh in.
"Adding lemon to your water makes it tastes better, so it can help you stay hydrated. Also, drinking water before a meal can promote satiety, so you may be inclined to eat less," she explained. "If you were eating less, it could produce the calorie deficit needed for weight loss." Basically, adding lemon to water has more to do with hydration than anything else.
There are studies that suggest that staying hydrated can help you lose weight, but even so, adding a glass of water to your pre-meal routine wouldnt have a dramatic impact on your weight, Cassetty said. "And theres nothing magical about adding a slice of lemon to your water. Its not enhancing calorie burning or anything like that."
It's important to note that there is no research that suggests that adding lemon to coffee will help you stay hydrated, so even if adding lemon to water will boost hydration in a way that supports weight loss, it does not necessarily follow that adding lemon to coffee will have the same benefit.
"A slice of lemon has less than 5 percent of the vitamin C you need each day," says Cassetty. So, even if you add a whole slice of lemon to your coffee, you wouldn't be adding much nutritional value. The truth is that when you add just a squeeze of lemon, you're using such a small portion of a lemon that it doesn't come with much in the way of nutritional benefits.
There are much more effective ways to use fresh fruits and vegetables to support weight loss, says Cassetty. "Meanwhile, you could exceed your daily needs by having either a cup of strawberries or red pepper slices. And chewing food helps promote feelings of fullness so, in this regard, theres a benefit to eating food. Theres really no additional benefit you get by adding lemon to your water outside of helping you drink more water," she said.
Related: How much water do you need to drink each day? The recommendation is 93 ounces per day for women and 125 ounces for men. Here's how to drink more water.
"I cant think of a single benefit of adding lemon to your coffee," says Cassetty. Basically, Cassetty said it's just another TikTok trend with no merit.
Yes, adding lemon to water can make it more flavorful and add a touch of vitamin C, but the lemon and coffee combination has no evidence-based benefits. Not only that, but it may be harmful.
Adding lemon to coffee isn't toxic although there can be health consequences of having too much caffeine. In fact, there are studies that show that drinking too much coffee may actually shrink your brain.
But experts say that while adding lemon to coffee isn't in itself dangerous, it sheds light on a larger issue. "Id actually consider this behavior to be a red flag for disordered eating. Eating for weight loss shouldnt be about restricting yourself or forcing yourself to eat or drink something thats not appetizing. Thats a sign that youre not building sustainable habits and it also suggests that you're willing to prioritize losing weight over your well-being," Cassetty said.
Furthermore, registered dietitian nutritionist Maya Feller of Brooklyn-based Maya Feller Nutrition said that these sorts of social media challenges can be triggering for those with disordered eating.
"These viral diet videos are damaging and dangerous. They are created by people with no qualifications and invite hysteria. Add lemon to your coffee if you want the flavor. Its absurd, the diet industrys focus on burning fat and weight loss. If a person is looking to make a shift in their metabolic health find a professional," she said.
Cassetty explained that weight loss is a complicated process that involves a series of healthy behaviors, including eating healthy, sleeping, staying active and managing stress. Genetics, hormones and other factors are also involved.
"The one thing we know for sure is that there is no quick fix," she said in reference to the viral challenge.
Related: People think weight loss is always positive so when patients lose weight because of illness they are praised, received delayed diagnosis. Weight stigma hurts health.
Many celebrities and influencers swear by starting their day with a glass of lemon water, but does it have any real health benefits? Keri Glassman, RD, previously told TODAY that the biggest benefit in adding lemon to your glass of water is that it may help you drink more and may come with some additional health benefits like added vitamin C.
Like other dietitians, Glassman urges caution when it comes to calling lemon water a "magical elixir." "This is by no means a magic bullet for weight loss, but filling up on water is a healthy habit to adopt," Keri Glassman, RD, previously told TODAY.

Wife Leaves Husband Red-Faced After He Demands She Lose … – Bored Panda
Revenge is a dish best served cold, but karma doesnt have to be instant. It can wait a bit. It can be subtle. Gradual. And it only makes victory taste that much sweeter when your plan finally comes together.
Redditor u/ShepherdsWeShallB shared a story about how her sister, Jen, got back at her husband Chris, who had demanded that she lose weight so that they could attend his companys black-tie dinner in a years time. Jen was barely overweight, but Chris was nearly clinically obese. Oh, she promised to lose weight all right, but she had a secret twist ready for him. Youll find the full story, as told by the womans sister, below.
Bored Panda reached out to u/ShepherdsWeShallB via Reddit, and well update the article as soon as we hear back from her.

According to u/ShepherdsWeShallB, for her sister, her husbands comments about losing weight was the straw that broke the camels back. He had also refused the idea of going to marriage counseling, accused his spouse of cheating on him, and joked to lots of people about her being stuck with him.
So, the OPs sister decided to follow her husbands advice and get in shape for his employers big event. But not in the way that he expected. She got great results and within just six months, she was incredibly fit. But the moment that she reached her goals, she filed for divorce. And she did show up to the black-tie event with a long-time friend who also worked at her (now ex) husbands company.
This was malicious compliance at its best. And most readers thought that the revenge was well-deserved. It seemed like Chris wasnt prepared to put in the same effort into his marriage as his then-wife, Jen, the mother to his five children, did.

Marriage and healthy long-term relationships rely on teamwork and communication. But they also demand a certain level of self-awareness. Nobody likes a hypocrite. Redditor u/ShepherdsWeShallB explained that her sister had been 6 pounds [2.7 kg] overweight, and was told to lose 30 to 40 pounds (13.6 to 18.1 kg). Meanwhile, Chris was bordering on clinically obese. Its more or less clear that if anyone needed to worry about their weight, it was him.
A quick way to check if youre at a more or less healthy weight is to do a quick BMI calculation. According to the CDC, youre considered to be underweight if your BMI is less than 18.5. If your score is above 25, you are overweight. And if your BMI is 30 or higher, you are technically obese.
Of course, living a healthy and happy life is about more than just someones weight: a lot depends on the persons lifestyle and quality of social life, too. However, being obese does have an incredibly negative effect on a persons life.
The CDC warns that obesity increases the risks of serious diseases and health conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease, cancer, clinical depression, and, overall, leads to a much lower quality of life. The effects go beyond just the individual, though.
In 2019, obesity-related medical care costs were estimated to have been nearly 173 billion dollars. Productivity costs due to obesity-related absenteeism were calculated to fall between 3.38 billion dollars to 6.38 billion dollars.
Respect, love, and mutual attraction make up the foundations of a marriage. If only one person in the relationship has feelings and respect for the other, youll end up with lots of problems that can, eventually, lead to divorce.
Its vital that spouses dont treat marriage as just dating. Both partners genuinely need to want the best for each other, have to care about one another, and shouldnt ever take the other person for granted.
Youre in it for the long-run (possibly until the end of your life), so the idea is that you treat the love of your life like, well, the love of your life. Being supportive, actively listening to your partner, taking the time to talk issues out, putting in the effort to work through issues and look for compromisesthats what helps a marriage stay healthy, not dominating the other person.

Commentary: Fitness influencers are harmful sources – Ithaca College The Ithacan
Editors Note: This is a guest commentary. The opinions do not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial board.
In todays social media landscape, its possible for anyone to become a fitness influencer. However, this status doesnt require years of education in exercise science or nutrition; becoming a fitness influencer doesnt even require a personal trainer certification. So how are these influencers qualified to provide health and fitness information? The simple answer is that many of them are not. There are those who have the education and knowledge and spread correct information to their followers. However, a large number do more harm to the fitness industry than good.
Throughout my life, I have struggled in my relationships with exercise and food until about three years ago when I began lifting weights and finally found a healthy balance. Despite the progress Ive made, sometimes I will scroll onto a video that transports me back to my middle school self sitting in my bedroom, overanalyzing my appearance in the mirror, googling how to lose weight overnight and going to bed hoping to wake up in a different body. Back then, I thought there was something wrong with me because I followed information from fitness influencers but never saw any changes.
Before I educated myself about fitness and began lifting weights, I would constantly try to exercise because I wanted to lose weight. I would do random workouts I saw on the internet without actually knowing whether or not they were the best way to reach my goals. At that point in time, I didnt have much knowledge about health and fitness and I would get frustrated by the lack of progress I was making, which always led to me giving up.
To lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you consume. This is a simple concept but not what people want to hear because it isnt necessarily easy. Before I understood how weight loss worked, I believed the influencers whose videos promised weight loss after only a 10-minute workout. While logically it doesnt make sense that only 10 minutes of exercise will cause any significant changes to your body, I still did it because I wanted to believe it was true.
The processes of losing fat and building muscle takes time and consistency, and there is no magical exercise or food that can change that. However, many fitness influencers claim to have found ways to hack health and fitness, which is misleading to people beginning their fitness journeys, as well as damaging to mental health.
Chloe Ting is a prime example of how misleading fitness influencers can be. With over 24 million subscribers on YouTube, 2.8 million on Instagram and over 600 thousand on TikTok, Ting is one of the biggest fitness influencers of all time. Ting has been making content for many years now, however, her popularity increased greatly during the COVID-19 pandemic when gyms were closed and people were doing at-home workouts. While the contents of Tings workouts are fine, the problem lies in her video titles. If you take a look at Tings YouTube channel, you will see videos like Do this full body workout to get SHREDDED No Planks No Equipment and Get a Flat Stomach and Abs 10 min. What these videos are advertising is not physically possible. For one, there is no way to spot-reduce fat and it is extremely hard to get shredded by doing only bodyweight workouts; if you pick any other Chloe Ting video, the title most likely contains similar lies.
I believe any form of exercise that makes you happy and you can do consistently is worth doing. However, when fitness influencers promote unrealistic goals and spread false information, it leads people to believe that a healthy lifestyle is too difficult or even impossible to obtain. This can contribute to problems, like body dysmorphia, anxiety and depression. I think its amazing that exposure to fitness content has motivated people to pursue healthier lifestyles; I just urge that before people follow advice from others on the internet, they do their own research to ensure the source is qualified and that the information is accurate.

90 Day Fianc: 5 Stars With Lasting Weight Loss Results – Screen Rant
From Angela Deem to David Toborowsky, many 90 Day Fianc celebrities have shared their weight loss stories, but unfortunately, not everyone has been able to shed the pounds permanently. When Angela decided to lose weight, she went under the knife, opting for a gastric bypass surgery. Afterward, she lost more than 100 pounds. However, she had to try and maintain those results. Angela didn't quit smoking or avoid sugary soda. Before too long, viewers noticed that she'd regained some of the weight shed lost over the past two years.
Long-term 90 Day Fianc weight maintainers are few and far between. When franchise stars get very drastic results, before and after photos of them are often posted online. It's possible that celebs go too far in order to shed pounds, especially when the effects aren't long-lasting. Another scenario is that they use Photoshop and filters to look slim, when at times, their weight loss measures may not be successful. Still, there are a lucky few who have enjoyed lasting weight loss results in the 90 Day Fianc franchise.
Tiffany, who made her debut in 90 Day Fianc: The Other Way alongside Ronald Smith, felt like she was at her heaviest when Tiffany weighed 300 pounds during the Happily Ever After? season 6 Tell-All. Onstage, Tiffany shared her wish to have gastric bypass surgery, and said that she was inspired by Angela. She finally went under the knife in June 2021. Seventy percent of Tiffanys stomach was removed, and her goal was to lose 100 pounds after that. A little under two years later, Tiffany is very close to her dream body. She has lost 83 pounds by staying consistent with her diet and lifestyle changes.
Like Angela and Tiffany, Winter underwent a weight loss procedure that led her to lose 100 pounds over two years. Winter weighed over 300 pounds when she headed to Mexico to get her surgery, and since her return, she has hit the gym regularly. Winter eats a nutritious diet that helps her to maintain the results of her surgery. Winter wanted to get over her ex-boyfriend, and access a revenge body. She now preaches a self-love message to those who come to her for inspiration and tips. According to Winter, she was dealing with a lot of problems, and she directed her focus outward.
During that time, her health was definitely not a priority. Winter listened to her body, and felt like she needed help, but wasn't sure how to start her weight loss journey. Winter set some fitness goals for herself, and suddenly noticed her perspectives on fitness changing. She lost the extra pounds, and at the same time, she came across the Weight Loss Barbie on TikTok. That person gave Tiffany all the inspiration she needed. Today, Winter has even launched a career as a body-positive model, and shared fitness advice with Instagram fans. Winter recently revealed that she'd gone from a size 24 to a size 16.
90 Day Fianc season 6 star Asuelu moved to the U.S. to get married to baby mama, Kalani Faagata. Asuelus weight loss journey is interesting and mysterious, since he never really spoke about it on social media, like other 90DF franchise celebs have done. While questions about his supposed divorce from Kalani are what fans asked him about in his comments, they soon started to notice his weight loss. Asuelu had done a push-up challenge in May 2020, for a 15-day fitness event, to raise awareness for PTSD. He has since gradually shed weight, and looks quite different.
Jorge is perhaps the biggest weight loss transformation story in 90 Day Fianc history. Jorge got married to his Russian girlfriend Anfisa Arkhipchenko in 90DF season 4. Jorge and Anfisa were never happy in their relationship, and the cracks began to show early on, when she commented that she was only in it for his money. In 2018, Jorges job landed him in trouble, when he was arrested for possession of 293 pounds of marijuana. In his car. Jorge was sentenced to prison, and he had to serve two-and-a-half years behind bars.
Before he was sent to prison, Jorge used to weigh more than 318 pounds. He revealed his weight loss during his time behind bars. When his mugshot was released, Jorge first shocked everyone with the results of his hard work, as he looked unrecognizable. His slimmer physique was evidence that Jorge had lost 128 pounds. As per Jorge, weight loss is 95 percent about diet, and five percent about exercise. At 185 pounds, Jorge did feel like he was really, really skinny. However, now, Jorge is at a healthy weight, thanks to his eating plan.
When David first made his reality TV debut on 90 Day Fianc, hed already undergone a weight loss transformation. David used to weigh 350 pounds, and had even had a stroke while going through a divorce. Additionally, he'd lost his job and car. David hit the restart button on his life, deciding to lose weight. He also chose to fly to Thailand, where he found Annie Suwan, the love of his life. However, as the years went by, David's body started to change. In fact, he regained almost all of the weight he'd lost.
David has now lost more than 70 pounds, and part of his motivation was wanting to live longer for his wife. His love of food was the biggest obstacle during Davids journey, because he loves to eat. However, David, who believes that walking has made him fitter, has been making healthy choices. He has a newfound love for vitamins and salads. David hasnt managed to shed all his extra pounds, but hes much healthier and happier than before, as the 90 Day Fianc star continues to slim down for his better half.
