SCHILLER PARK, Ill., March 15, 2012 - Life Fitness, global leader in commercial fitness equipment manufacturing, will debut its exclusive Lifescape(TM) flagship feature, which engages the user in a truly personal experience through immersive outdoor adventures that bring workouts to life, and on-demand content that enlivens every session. The new Life Fitness Lifescape feature will be displayed on a touch-screen attachable TV, March 15th at IHRSA, the world`s largest fitness trade show.

"Lifescape is the first step in a series of tech innovations we will be rolling out to make the cardio experience a total escape into the workout," said Dan Wille, vice president of global marketing and product development for Life Fitness. "The Lifescape attachable TV`s ability to match the user`s experience with the workout courses is exclusive to our products."

Lifescape features interactive, high-definition hikes, runs and bikes through famous locations around the world with integrated machine controls that adjust video speed to that of the exerciser, and resistance to match the terrain.

Available on the Integrity Series treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stepper and Summit Trainer, users can choose from six exclusive landscape courses which include hikes through Yosemite and King`s Canyon national parks, runs through Germany and the Trinity Mountains, and bike rides through Champagne and Col de la Colombire, France. In total, 17 workout landscapes are available for exploration.

Popular On-Demand entertainment options are also available through Lifescape, including streaming movie trailers, television shows and thousands of music videos. Exercisers can also create personal music video playlist, with video categories ranging from Pop, Hip Hop & R&B, Rock, Country, 80`s & 90`s, which are stored under that user`s profile for access from any Lifescape screen. Lifescape also recommends new courses, On-Demand videos, and workout programs every session.

The Lifescape experience is personalized to every user. Exercisers create an account and Lifescape stores favorite workouts and entertainment, while also tracking workout progress in sync with the Life Fitness Virtual Trainer (www.virtualtrainer.lifefitness.com). The Life Fitness Virtual Trainer is a free online tool that allows exercisers to create cardiovascular and strength training workouts, view their progress and share workouts, to help them improve results and stay motivated. Lifescape and the Life Fitness Virtual Trainer also push updates to personal Facebook accounts if the exerciser so chooses, to let friends and family share in the workout experience.

For the gym-owner, Life Fitness Lifescape also provides detailed online reporting that takes the guesswork out of facility usage, giving insight to number of workouts, average duration, and total workout hours. Customized reporting capabilities allow users to select the exact data they want to export for analysis.
