Cardio is surely good, but not the only way to lose weight. Here are a few other things you can try, which are as effective and beneficial.

Strength training

It is alright if you do not like running on a treadmill, but you still have to exercise for losing weight. Strength training is equally beneficial as cardio exercises. Try to include three to four sessions of strength training exercises in your routine. It will make you lean and toned.

Move your body

Try to stay active throughout the day. This is one of the best things you can do for your body and metabolism. It will help you to burn additional calories and lose weight. Do small things like taking stairs instead of an elevator, walking while talking on the phone or standing at your desk.

Track your steps

This is another way of moving throughout the day. Try to take 10,000 steps every day. You can use a fitness band or download a step-tracking app on your phone to keep a count.
