Nivin Pauly, the crowd-puller of Malayalam cinema is planning for a complete track change in his career, with some promising projects in the pipeline. The young actor was recently trolled by the netizens mercilessly for his weight, which he gained for the character he plays in the upcoming project Padavettu.

But as per the latest reports, Nivin Pauly is currently undergoing a strict diet and workout regimen, to lose weight for the final schedule of Padavettu. The sources suggest that the actor has already shed around 10 kilos from the weight he gained for the character. He is expected to be back in shape before the next schedule of the project starts rolling.

Reportedly, Nivin Pauly is playing an extremely challenging role in Padavettu, which is said to be a rustic entertainer that is based on Kannur. The actor will portray the two different phases of his character, which is the reason behind his weight gain. The project, which is directed by newcomer Liju Krishna, will mark the production debut of the popular actor Sunny Wayne.

Padavettu will feature Aditi Balan, the talented actress who earned rave reviews for her performance in the acclaimed Tamil movie Aruvi, as the female lead. As per the reports, Aditi is also playing a performance-oriented role in the Liju Krishna directorial, which marks her Malayalam debut.

Manju Warrier, the lady superstar of Malayalam cinema is making an extended cameo appearance in Padavettu. Even though Manju will appear in the movie only for a few minutes, the reports suggest that she is playing a pivotal character that brings a major twist in the story.

Vijayaraghavan, Indrans, Shammy Thilakan, Sudheesh, Shine Tom Chacko, and so on essay the supporting roles in the movie. Govind Vasantha composes the songs and background score. Deepak D Menon is the director of photography. Padavettu is expected to hit the theaters by the beginning of 2021.
