Brielle Biermann Practices Intermittent Fasting With Chick-fil-A and More of Her Odd Eating Habits – Us Weekly

Talk about an unusual diet plan. During a recent Q&A session with her social media followers via her Instagram Stories, Brielle Biermann revealed some interesting tidbits about her eating regimen.
The information came out when one fan noted that she was eager to run into the Dont Be Tardy star, 23, out and about in Atlanta. In response, Biermann noted that the easiest way to track her down would be to catch her when shes chowing down on her first meal of the day.
I go to [Chick-fil-A] there EVERYDAY (except Sunday) around 3 for my breakfast/lunch, she replied. I only eat between 3-8 everyday!
The KAB Cosmetics co-creator has a longstanding love of Chick-fil-A, and in January 2020 she confirmed via her Instagram Stories that she visits the restaurant on a daily basis. When I say I eat this everyday I mean everyday she wrote above a photo of a spicy chicken sandwich and french fries.
The Bravo personality previously opened up about her choice to start intermittent fasting an eating pattern that alternates between periods of fasting and eating in August 2019. I get this all the time and youre not gonna believe me but [I] worked out 3-4x a week for 2 years and the second I stopped going to the gym I lost weight, she wrote via Instagram at the time. Not just muscle. I was actually thinner.
Biermann hypothesized that she shed several pounds because she began eating less once she stopped hitting the gym on a regular basis. I think working out made me eat more because [I] was so hungry, she explained. So now [I] just intermittent fast and eat whatever I want but in moderation!
Believe it or not, this isnt the first time the reality star has used the Atlanta-based chain to help with her diet. I swear by the [Chick-fil-A] diet! she declared on Instagram in June 2019, per Bravo. In high school I would eat it for breakfast and dinner [literally] every day and when I wanna lose weight I only eat [Chick-fil-A]! I get 12 count well done nuggets fries and a Diet Coke.
As it turns out, intermittent fasting with Chick-fil-A is just the start of Biermanns odd eating habits. Scroll down for more!

WEIGHT LOSS isnt easy, but this woman lost eight stone in 13 months and reversed her type 2 diabetes. She followed this diet plan.
One diet plan helped this mother lose a huge amount of weight and reversed a life threatening condition. Toni Weeks, 51, followed the weight loss plan which is based on NHS guidelines and allows wine.
Toni feared she would lose a limb when she was diagnosed with type-2 diabetes in January 2018.
The mother-of-three, from Leighton Buzzard, weighed more than 20st 7lb and was a size 22. However, now she has dropped to 10st 11lb and now wears size 12.
Just over a year after taking up the diet Tonis diabetes went into remission.
Toni followed a diet called Second Nature. Second Nature is a 12-week low carb programme. It was set up by Chris Edson and Mike Gibbs, both former NHS advisors, to tackle Britains obesity and type-2 diabetes epidemic.
The smart weight loss plan allows treats and alcohol, so how does it work? The diet aims to rewire eating habits of those looking to lose weight.
After following its healthy eating plan, which allows chocolate, cream, pancakes, curries and alcohol, Toni started to shed the pounds. In just 12 weeks, she dropped from a size 22 to a size 16.
Before adopting the diet, Toni ate an unhealthy diet.
She would eat a fast-food snack for breakfast, scoff a Subway for lunch, then dine on greasy food pizza, chips, burgers for dinner, and she would consume more than her husband.
Toni said: My portion sizes were big. I could eat a food mountain, masses of takeaways, Im a general foodie. I would snack in between meals and would eat anything I could see. It didnt even cross my mind that I wasnt eating properly.
Now, Toni will eat a bowl of porridge for breakfast, topped with fruit and seeds, shell have dinner leftovers for lunch, and has something homemade such as chilli or curry for dinner.
But the difference is the portion size -which will now fit on a tea plate.
The plan focuses on an easy, low-carb format, and has so far amassed 30,000 users and is also being trialled by the NHS.
Toni received a set of smart scales and an activity tracker that links with the app, allowing her to monitor her weight-loss progress and daily step count.
She was also sent a recipe book, a meal plan and daily motivational articles, and was added to an online peer support group hosted by a qualified dietitian offering daily advice.
Breakfast: Fast food snack
Lunch: Subway
Dinner: Takeaway
Breakfast: Porridge topped with fruit and seeds
Lunch: Leftovers
Dinner: Homemade chilli or curry
Another weight loss diet success is this womans, after she lost nine stone in nine months.

My 600-lb Life exclusive: Homeless Hernandez brothers last chance for health and a home – Monsters and Critics

The Hernandez brothers are homeless and in need of Dr. Nows help on My 600-lb Life. Pic credit: TLC
On Wednesday nights heart wrenching My 600-lb Life, we have two homeless brothers, one who is over 600 pounds and at risk of becoming desperately ill and losing any chance of living a normal life.
Both men are sticking together and trying to find more permanent shelter.
It will take an incredible chain of events and overall effort to get James Hernandez and Dominic Hernandez down to Houston to see Dr. Younan Nowzaradan for help with weight loss and therapy.
At over 600-lbs, Dominic Hernandez is only 37 years old, yet he is too large and unhealthy to have any employment.
Things are made worse for him when he and his older brother James Hernandez, who is 44 years old, had their family house sold out from under them recently.
This move rendered them homeless, forced to live on the streets as part of a wave of families caught in the growing problem of unaffordable rents and housing options in their home state of California.
We learn in the episode that all they could think to do was to buy a van to shelter in with what little cash they had.
Homeless and living off government general aid assistance and food stamps, Dominics food choices, unfortunately, have all been the cheap salty and fatty processed food snacks and fast-food carbs that are filling, but pack on pounds fast.
The news of these two brothers reality and their dire situation shocks Dr. Now into silence for a split-second in our exclusive clip.
The good news in all of this is that the two brothers are determined to stick together, as James tells Dr. Now he is there for little brother Dom as moral support.
With Dominic seesawing in his weight gains and losses, having his brother James there for him will hopefully help in his bid to lose weight.
James is overweight too, but he does not have the critical weight issues of Dominic.
And Dominic knows that he needs help to turn his life around before it is too late.
When one of the last remaining cousins they can rely on lends them a bit of money to drive to Houston and meet with Dr. Now and get his help, Dominic and James realize this is the one chance they have to get Dominic well.
They must stay the course and undertake whatever it is that Dr. Now says to save Dominics life, or hell eat himself to death.
The obstacles are money and access.
Dominic and James must secure stable housing with a proper kitchen where Dominic can end the fast food habit and begin healthy eating options and cultivate good food choices he needs to live a healthy life.
But old habits die hard. The situation regarding the van and no home compound means that Dom and James spent years and years living in unhealthy ways, and it will take a lot of focused effort to change this reality.
Will Dominic wake up to the reality of what a dangerous situation he is in before it is too late? And can he can take responsibility for what he must do to change his eating habits and save himself?
Dom has stretched his body in ways that few folks in his situation ever rebound, and time is one precious thing Dominic might not have on his side.
If he wants to live, can he find the strength to change his diet and start moving to save his life?
The intake interview begins with Dr. Now as he takes information from James and Dominic Hernandez as they explain to him they are strapped for money and have no real home, living in a van.
Then Dominic is honest about the bad food he eats and tells Dr. Now what his typical diet consists of daily:

A 2007 study published by researchers at the prestigious Hong Kong University precisely predicted the emergence of a coronavirus outbreak from bats and exotic mammals in China that are known to possess a wide variety of viruses.
Virologists have said that the novel coronavirus likely stems from Chinese horseshoe bats based on the structure of the virus. 13 years ago, researchers pointed out the exact specie of bats and warned that the possibility of a coronavirus outbreak cannot be dismissed.
The study, entitled Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus as an Agent of Emerging and Reemerging Infection published on the Clinical Microbiology Reviews Journal in 2007, said that the culture of consuming exotic animals in Southern China is a time bomb.
The researchers wrote:
Coronaviruses are well known to undergo genetic recombination, which may lead to new genotypes and outbreaks. The presence of a large reservoir of SARS-CoV-like viruses in horseshoe bats, together with the culture of eating exotic mammals in southern China, is a time bomb. The possibility of the reemergence of SARS and other novel viruses from animals or laboratories and therefore the need for preparedness should not be ignored.
Bats, specifically horseshoe bats, have consistently been described as an important reservoir of viruses since early 2000s.
Another study published by the American Society For Microbiologys Clinical Microbiology Reviews Journal emphasized that bats always carry the risk of spilling over their viruses to humans and other animals.
The study found:
Bats also are being increasingly recognized as reservoir hosts for viruses which can cross species barriers (i.e., spill over) to infect humans and other domestic and wild mammals.
To lower the probability of the reemergence of coronavirus in the future, the findings of past studies suggest the necessity to minimize interaction with bats and specifically the consumption of exotic mammals.
In many regions, tens of thousands of individuals depend on bats for livelihood; the feces (guano) of bats are often in high demand from farmers as fertilizers. After collecting guano, bats are typically captured to be sold as commercial meat.
Several countries including Thailand have made it illegal to capture or eat bats due to the viruses contained in the animal.
Still, a study on the Infection Ecology and Epidemiology Journal said that many people trap bats in caves or orchards for consumption.
The study read:
In recent years, it has become illegal to trap or eat bats. In spite of this, most respondents knew people in the community who had trapped bats, usually at the mouths of caves or in fruit orchards, and/or had eaten bats, although they said this was less common since the regulations went into effect.
To prevent the reemergence of coronavirus in the future, it is of the utmost importance for authorities to enforce strict prohibitions on interacting with bats, especially species that contain a significant amount of viruses.

Immunity and diet: what you need to know – Gulf News

In recent weeks, much attention has focused on the role of the immune system and its role in defending against disease-causing microorganisms. While the body has an impressive array of weapons to battle any invaders, there are moments when pathogens bypass these warriors, virus and bacteria sometimes do get through.
In such cases, your first port of call should be a medical professional who can advise on treatment routes.
That said, there are a number of ways to reduce your vulnerability, including enhanced hygiene and other everyday preventive measures. Of course, researchers still dont know a lot about the intricacies of the immune response and there really are few scientifically proven direct links between lifestyle and enhanced immune function but evidence intimates that nutritional deficiencies can weaken our immunity and leave us more susceptible to infections.
- Marlene Cornes Marsh, Senior Clinical Dietitian, DHA
Diet and lifestyle are two of the most critical factors that influence immunity, explains Mitun De Sarkar, a Dubai-based MD who is Clinical Dietitian at Simply Healthy Foods. While environmental factors are often not in our control, so our best defence to give our bodies a fighting chance against various virus or bacterial infections is to ensure that we follow good hygiene practices and ensure our diets support our immune systems health.
A good thumb rule, she adds, is to get in plenty of fruits and vegetables, ensure proper hydration and stay moving. Exercise has a beneficial impact on the immune system and mobilises white blood cells.
But this is a nutrition column, so well confine ourselves to foods role in immune health. In particular, people underestimate the importance of good nutritional habits. Marlene Cornes Marsh, Senior Clinical Dietitian at Dubai Health Authority, says a balanced diet, coupled with a healthy lifestyle strengthens your bodys defences against infection. The strength of the bodys immune system relates to its overall nutritional status, she says, adding that stress, poor diet and inadequate sleep can also play their part.
There is scientific evidence to support the adage we are what we eat, and this process begins in early life. It is well established that nutritional inadequacy greatly impairs the functioning of immune system. Good nutrition plays an important role in the bodys immune system. It stimulates the formation of antibodies, and with healing and recovery.
Avoiding undernutrition
On the other hand, undernutrition can have several harmful benefits. As an example, Marsh explains how the thymus, a small organ just beneath the breastbone, is impacted by malnutrition even the kind caused by obesity.
People who are on extreme calorie- and protein-restriction diets or who have an eating disorder may see changes in the activity of the thymus gland, which is responsible for the maturation of immune cells, Marsh says. The thymus helps propagate and differentiate mature T-lymphocytes, cells that attack and kill viruses and bacteria.
Similarly, paying attention to the symbiotic relationship we share with the beneficial microbes that make up the human microbiome, can help fortify our bodies. This collection of microscopic organisms serve several functions. When theyre out of whack, as in older people, the result is stomach inflammation and increased intestinal permeability, which allows more bugs to overcome our defences. But when theyre singing in harmony, so to speak, these microbes function as barrier shields and help encode our immune systems.
Fermented foods and vegetables
The role of fermented foods such have been recognised for more than a century, thanks to the number of beneficial bacteria they contain, De Sarkar says. Thats why items such as yoghurt, sauerkraut, kombucha, kefir and khimchi should be high on your list, she explains.
Similarly, fibre-heavy carbohydrates such as whole grains improve digestion and fuel the body with energy. When it comes to overall health including immune system function. Carbs are not your enemy, she says.
Finally, vegetables really are all theyre cracked up to be. Following a study on mice, Babraham Institute researchers proved how green vegetables such as bok choy and broccoli generate a chemical signal that is important to a fully functioning immune system. They do this by ensuring that immune cells in the gut and the skin known as intra-epithelial lymphocytes (IELs) function properly. When otherwise healthy mice were fed a vegetable-poor diet for two to three weeks, up to 80 per cent of these protective cells disappeared.
Separately, innumerable studies have demonstrated the benefit of antioxidants in vegetables, fruit and other plant-based foods. Nutrients such as beta-carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E not only boost immune health but also help reduce oxidative stress.
While much more research is needed to pinpoint specific interactions, eating healthy has a tremendous number of benefits for the immune system.
As Marsh says, Almost all nutrients in the diet play a fundamental role in sustaining an optimal immune response, such that deficient and excessive intakes can have negative consequences on immune status and susceptibility to a variety of pathogens.
Dietary components can regulate physiological functions of the body; interacting with the immune response is one of the most important functions of nutrition.

Cant help the stress eating? Heres how to maintain a healthy diet while working from home – The Globe and Mail

Eating well is always important, especially now in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. A nutritious diet supports your immune system, fuels and nourishes your body, and benefits your mood and mental health.
In theory, following a healthy diet should be easy when youre at home. Theres no office sweets to tempt you, and you have more time to prepare home-cooked meals.
The reality, though, is that staying on track can be a challenge. The lack of structure, taking care of young children or feeling isolated can turn your regimented meal plan into a free-for-all.
Story continues below advertisement
With the refrigerator only steps away, its too easy to tackle boredom, soothe stress or procrastinate work by reaching for snacks throughout the day.
What to eat to maintain an immune system-friendly diet
Over time, consistent overeating can lead to unwanted weight gain. In the immediate term, it can make you feel sluggish and bloated and dampen your mood.
The good news: Working from home doesnt have to derail your diet. The following strategies can help you stay or get back on your healthy eating path.
These are unprecedented times to adapt to, though, so dont beat yourself up if it takes a little longer than expected to find your rhythm.
Set your eating schedule just as you would for a regular work day. Stick to a consistent time to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you have young kids, consider eating together according to their schedule. If you need one, plan a short afternoon break for a healthy snack.
Maintaining structure around meal and snack times will prompt you to eat when its time to eat, not whenever you feel like it. Eat away from your desk to practice mindful eating.

To minimize trips to the grocery store while social distancing, make a weekly meal plan and grocery list. Although you might need to restock fresh produce midweek, try to buy all the essentials once weekly.
As you plan meals, think about how you can cook once and make two or more meals out of it. Leftover roasted chicken, for example, can be made into salads, wraps and tacos.
The point is that making a plan and having the right foods on hand will help prevent a whatevers in the fridge approach to meals, or ordering take-out.
If you usually pack your lunch for the office, do the same while working from home. Portion out your lunch (and snacks) ahead of time in to-go containers.
Knowing that lunch is waiting for you will discourage you from making less healthy choices or grazing your way through the afternoon.
Eating the right snack, at the right time, can help manage hunger, increase energy and boost nutrition.

Nutritious snacks, for adults and kids, include celery with peanut butter, sliced apples with almond butter, sliced pear and cheese, homemade trail mix, fruit smoothies, banana ice cream (frozen ripe banana pulsed and then blended in a food processor), mini pitas with hummus and olives, homemade popcorn, baked sweet potato fries, steamed edamame and raw vegetables with guacamole.
Overcoming the urge to constantly snack can be a challenge. Before you reach for a snack ask yourself if you are really hungry. Or, do you want to eat because you feel anxious or bored or youre procrastinating a task?
If youre not truly hungry, take a short break to do something that distracts you, such as a short walk outside or meditating for 10 minutes.
Consider, too, your home office space. If its very close to, or in, the kitchen, the fridge can be a major distraction.
Its common to turn to comfort foods in stressful times. Doing so is thought to blunt the bodys stress response by causing the release of dopamine, a feel-good brain chemical.
Nutritious alternatives to high-fat, high-calorie comfort meals include turkey chili, shepherds pie topped with mashed cauliflower and mini vegetable pizzas made on whole wheat tortillas.

Try satisfying a sweet tooth with frozen grapes, a fruit smoothie, banana ice cream," homemade apple crisp or a square of dark chocolate.
Drinking a glass of wine or a cocktail may seem like a tempting way to cope with stress. Limit alcoholic beverages to the weekend. One or two drinks can impair your sleep and reduce your resolve to eat healthfully.
Limit how much caffeinated coffee you drink, too. Curbing your coffee habit to one or two small cups in the morning can help manage stress by helping you sleep better at night.

Justin Bieber’s New Diet Makes Him Stink? Here’s The Truth – Latin Times

Is Justin Biebers new diet giving nightmares to wife Hailey, because of how it makes him stink? Well, the popular rumors are a hoax.
The Yummy singer isnt on any questionable diet, which has resulted in embarrassing body odors for the star. Gossip Cop was quick to quash the dubious report that was published in this weeks issue of Globe, which goes on to conjure up horrifying details about Biebers new dietwhich is far from true.
The report starts off on a rather dramatic note, calling Biebers new-found diet an an intense body and mind cleanse which has made the singer a tad obsessive. The phony source in the report alleges that Bieber follows a rather bizarre regime in adherence to the diet, which sees him sitting in the sauna for hours on end and meditate to purge both his mind and body for evils. The extreme diet has had him make radical changes to his diet: Bieber reportedly consumesweird herb teas and eating nothing but sauerkraut and beets for days at a time.
The report, which makes for an interesting read, is bogus beyond measure. Aside from there being little truth in the whole story (Well, a source close to Bieber termed the report absurd. And, thats not allthe report also mentions that the new lifestyle change is creating a lot of stress in Biebers marriage.
Hailey is apparently irked and feels helplessand things may soon hit the rock bottom if Bieber sticks to his strange ways. Simply put, the publication is milking on Biebers health issues (his battle with Lyme is well-known.) but the failure to provide any incisive reasoning as to why hes resorting to these ideas questions the credibility of the issue.
Truth be told, there is NOTHING wrong in Bieber and Haileys marriage. The young couple is in love, and the same was evidenced when Bieber shared a picture of himself in self-isolation with his quarantine on Instagram earlier this week. Not too long ago, another fake rumor surrounded Bieberwhich had tabloid stress about how Bieber had become obsessed with his death.
Sure, these stories might prove worrisome for fans. But, fortunately, none of these reports contain an iota of truth in them.

What is a low-FODMAP diet? And can it help your digestive issues? What is a low-FODMAP diet? And can it help with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)? -…
![](https://www.dgw.tv/wp-content/themes/elegant-brit-b/images/caticon.gif)
![](https://www.dgw.tv/wp-content/themes/elegant-brit-b/images/comicon.gif)
If youre one of the 10% to 15% of people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a GI disorder that can cause constipation or diarrhea, pain, bloating, tweaking your diet to discover foods that trigger those symptoms can be game changing. Research suggests that most people with IBS experience significant improvement with a low-FODMAP diet, but its a complicated plan. Heres what you need to know before you get started on a low-FODMAP diet.
The acronym stands for: Fermentable, Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides And Polyols.
FODMAPs are a collection of carbohydrates that are found in a range of foods. The term fermentable just means that these short-chain carbohydrates arent properly absorbed in your gut and they can produce gas. Each of the other terms refers to the category of carbohydrates that may be the culprit. Heres a sampling of foods within each group, but note that some foods contain more than one type of FODMAP.
Oligosaccharides has two subgroups: fructans and galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS).
Disaccharides refer to lactose, which is a type of sugar found in dairy foods.
Monosaccharides pertain to fructose, which is found in fruit, some veggies and certain sweeteners.
Polyols appear in sugar alcohols, which are used in certain low-sugar processed foods, but they also naturally appear in some fruits and veggies.
Trending stories, celebrity news and all the best of TODAY.
These are just a sampling of foods in each group. But it does show that even within each category, there are a range of foods that contain the triggering carbohydrates. And often, those foods seem unrelated. For example, you probably dont typically consider asparagus and whole wheat bread as being similar in any way, however they both contain fructans, and so theyre grouped together on a low-FODMAP plan.
A low-FODMAP diet begins by eliminating high-FODMAP foods, like those mentioned above. This just a sampling of the foods that need to be eliminated on this plan; many others are included on the complete list.
The strict elimination phase is intended to provide symptom relief. In this phase, its likely that youre eliminating some foods that dont trigger symptoms, but in order to test that theory, you first need to eliminate all the potentially triggering foods so you feel better.
Next comes the re-introduction phase. This is a critical step. Since symptoms are not only physically debilitating but can also severely impact your quality of life, you might feel tempted to carry on with a total FODMAP elimination once you feel better. But thats not advised. The truth is, most of the high-FODMAP foods are very healthy and the indigestible carbohydrates they supply help feed the beneficial bacteria in your gut, so theyre important for keeping you and your immune system healthy. If you extend a low-FODMAP total elimination beyond whats medically needed, it may lead to unfavorable changes in your gut bacteria.
As you reintroduce foods, the goal is to see which foods cause your symptoms and to discover your tolerance to different portion sizes. For example, you might be able to enjoy a 1/4 cup of chopped mango in a fruit salad whereas a larger portion might produce symptoms.
The reintroduction phase is very methodical because the diet involves testing specific foods in specific amounts, and then waiting a few days before reintroducing another food. As you go along, youll keep track of any symptoms you experience.
Once youve identified your trigger foods, youll reach the third phase of the plan, which is the personalization phase. This is the time to start adding all the foods you can tolerate back into your menu.
Its important to follow a low-FODMAP diet under the guidance of a registered dietitian who can help you navigate the complexity of both the elimination phase and the reintroduction phase, and who can help ensure youre optimizing your nutrition while on this plan. A dietitian can also help you personalize the plan to suit your lifestyle and make sure youre maximizing your enjoyment while exploring this diet.
Not quite. Gluten is a protein thats often found in carb-rich foods, like wheat, barley and rye. The elimination phase of a low-FODMAP diet focuses on reducing certain carbohydrates. Gluten is found in many of the carbohydrates that contain fructans, so youll be minimizing those sources of gluten in your diet, but other sources, like soy sauce, are still tolerated and permitted (unless you also have a gluten intolerance or soy allergy). If you believe you have a gluten sensitivity, fructans may be the true dietary offender. In one study among people who were on a self-imposed gluten-free diet (and who didnt have celiac disease), a 7-day challenge with both a fructan- and gluten-containing energy bar revealed that the fructans were the cause of the troubling symptoms.
There are gluten-free foods that contain FODMAPs, as well as low-FODMAP foods that contain gluten, which is why its important to work with a health professional to determine the cause of your symptoms instead of limiting your diet unnecessarily.
It doesnt have to be. Though lactose may be a trigger of your GI woes, there are lactose-free dairy products that you can enjoy even during the elimination phase of the diet. Also, hard cheeses, like parmesan and cheddar cheese, are low in lactose and small portions are usually well-tolerated.
Its not clear if it would be helpful to follow a low-FODMAP diet for other GI conditions, like Crohns disease or colitis. The evidence isnt convincing. Still, there may be an underlying reason to try the low-FODMAP diet for example, if you have one of these conditions and suffer from a lot of gas and bloating. It wont help reduce inflammation, but it may help resolve some of the unpleasant symptoms.
As tempting as it might be to start self-experimenting with a low-FODMAP diet, you should only do so under medical supervision after ruling out other conditions. There are a number of disorders, such as Crohns disease and colitis, that can cause similar symptoms as IBS, but are managed quite differently so its important not to self-diagnose your condition or to start a low-FODMAP diet without speaking to your physician and registered dietitian first.
If a low-FODMAP diet is recommended, youll want to begin by setting aside the high-FODMAP foods you have at home and stocking up on low-FODMAP foods. Your dietitian can help steer you toward whole and packaged foods that get the green light. A shopping list, recipes and meal plans will make it even easier to follow a low-FODMAP diet, so its a good idea to work with a registered dietitian who can provide these valuable resources.

Officials of the Women Development and Child Welfare (WD&CW) Department will supply nutritional diet for one week to about 15 lakh Anganwadi children, pregnant, and lactating women in the State during the lockdown period.
The Anganwadi workers and helpers will visit homes and deliver the diet to the beneficiaries. Instructions have been given to complete the exercise by Tuesday in all districts, said WD&CW Director Krithika Shukla.
Government has been supplying the diet to children enrolled in Anganwadi Centres (aged between three and six years), registered pregnant women, and to lactating women up to six months post delivery in the State.
As many as 8.7 lakh pre-primary school children were enrolled in 55,670 Anganwadi Centres in Andhra Pradesh. In all, 6.5 lakh pregnant and lactating women enrolled in the centres will get the nutritional diet. All the district-level officers should treat the instructions as most urgent and expedite the distribution process immediately, Ms. Shukla said on Tuesday.
Speaking to The Hindu, WD&CW Krishna District Project Director (PD) K. Uma Rani said 500 gm of rice, 200 gm of red gram, 50 ml edible oil and seven eggs will be given to each child for a week.
For pregnant and lactating women, one kg rice, 250 gm of red gram, 125 ml of oil, 14 eggs and 1.5 litres of milk will be supplied per head till March 31. We request the beneficiaries to make use of the facility. Our staff will visit homes and deliver the provisions. Alternatively, beneficiaries can directly visit their respective Anganwadi Centres and collect them, Ms. Uma Rani said.
The decision has been taken to prevent malnutrition among children and mothers. The Regional Joint Directors (RJDs), Project Directors (PDs), Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and supervisors will monitor the delivery system, Ms. Shukla said.
However, officers, staff, the Anganwadi workers, and helpers were instructed to take all steps to prevent the spread of Coronavirus while supplying the rations in the villages, she added.
