How? Its called the carnivore diet, and the comedian recently gave it a 30-day go in January, reporting that the all-meat, all-the-time regime helped him drop 12 pounds, improve a chronic skin condition, and feel more energetic (it also gave him explosive diarrhea for the first two weeks, but he seemed to be okay with that in the long run).
The only problem? Dietitians everywhere are cringing over the diets total lack of evidence-based results and laser focus on a single food group, especially one that should typically be eaten in moderation compared to its fruit and vegetable counterparts.
Oh, and the doctor-slash-athlete who originally pioneered the diet and wrote a book about it an orthopedic surgeon named Shawn Bakerwas embroiled in some controversy back in 2017: the state medical board of New Mexico, where he was practicing at the time, revoked his medical license due to concerns about his incompetence to practice.
But the controversy over Bakers license isnt really the point (it was actually reinstated in February 2019 after an investigation). The point is whether its healthy or beneficial in any way to toss out your leafy greens and stock your fridge with cuts of meat. So, lets dig in...metaphorically speaking.
Get a load of this, bacon lovers: People on the carnivore diet eat only meat and animal products, and avoid all plant foods.
I call this a mono diet, which means youre basically eating one food, says Abby Langer, RD, a Toronto-based dietitian and writer. Its meat, eggs, and coffee. Some people will eat dairy, but most believe that the lactose in milk makes it off-limits, because thats sugar. No plant foods are allowed, which means you cant eat any grains, nuts, seeds, beans, fruits, or vegetables.
According to Amy Gorin, RDN, owner of Amy Gorin Nutrition in the New York City area, there are no specific guidelines about how much meat you can or should eat per day on the diet. (In 2018, Baker himself admitted to eating four pounds of meat per day.) There are also no guidelines about macronutrients, though most proponents of the diet seem to recommend getting the majority of calories from fat, not protein, which means choosing fattier cuts of meat.
Because theres very little information available on the diet, it also hasn't been studied yetmeaning most of its health claims and testimonials come from personal blogs and social media accounts . And before you think going carnivore is just another spin on the keto diet, think again.
Whether or not the carnivore diet would put you in ketosis really depends on the specific breakdown of what youre eating, explains Gorin. Eating too much protein with too little fat may make it difficult to stay in ketosis.
Its a fine balance, basically, and the carnivore diet is not a shortcut for keto. (Sorry.)
Meat, right?! (Duh.) Except youre also allowed eggs and other animal products, as well as shrimp.
The diet recommends choosing fatty, ruminant meat from cows, elk, and deer, which is enough to make most dietitians blanch.
I want to be clear that it is under no circumstances healthy to eat an all-meat diet, says Gorin. But [if youre looking for] healthier meat and animal options, those would be lean proteins such as salmon and chicken breast.
Either way, everyone seems to be in agreement that processed meats (like sausage) are not the best choice here. Instead, you should choose to eat:
Since the carnivore diet allows for animal products besides meat, the list of foods to avoid isnt as simple as saying anything thats not meat. Heres a breakdown of off-limit foods:
So...animal products all day, every day. How do you make that work? Heres a sample meal plan for a five-day week.
Day 1
Breakfast: Fried eggs and bacon
Lunch: Salmon and pork chop
Snack: Beef jerky and cheddar cheese
Dinner: Grilled chicken thighs and mackerel
Day 2
Breakfast: Cheddar and sausage omelette
Lunch: Tuna and beef tips
Snack: Shrimp and turkey jerky
Dinner: Roasted pork chop and bone broth
Day 3
Breakfast: Eggs scrambled with ground turkey
Lunch: Salmon and lamb chop
Snack: Sardines and bacon
Dinner: Strip steak with bone broth
Day 4
Breakfast: Sardines and poached eggs
Lunch: Grilled chicken thighs and shrimp
Snack: Cheddar cheese and turkey burger
Dinner: Sirloin and pork belly
Day 5
Breakfast: Grilled chicken thighs and bacon
Lunch: Beef liver and ground beef
Snack: Hard boiled egg and parmesan cheese
Dinner: Ribeye with sardines
Some studies have found that high-protein, low-carb diets can help people lose weight. For example, an ongoing review of low-carb diets at NCBI suggests these diets can be responsible for lowering insulin resistance and helping with weight loss. But theres one huge difference here between this kind of diet (which includes keto) and the carnivore diet: You dont have to cut out all carbs. With keto, youre required to keep your carb count between 20 and 50 net grams per day; that still allows you to benefit from good carbs found in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. The long-term effects of a totally carb-free diet havent been well studied.
Heres the deal: Any time you eliminate major food groups from your diet (or in this case, pretty much all foods except meat), youre likely going to be eating less. Less food equals fewer calories consumed, and eating fewer calories than you need is how weight loss happens. Period.
So, sure, youll probably lose weight on the carnivore diet in the short-term. Youll have to say no to office snacks, birthday cake, and convenient on-the-go options like granola bars and trail mix.
That said, the diet is pretty unsustainable, and any weight you lose will probably come back as soon as you start eating a variety of foods again. There are much healthier ways to lose weight that include making lasting lifestyle changes, says Gorin. It would be very difficultand wouldn't be healthyto maintain an all-meat diet.
Bloggers and Instagrammers claim that, in addition to weight loss, the carnivore diet can cure a variety of ailments, from sinus and skin issues , to arthritis and depression (there are even #meatheals and #meatismedicine hashtags on Instagram).
But again, those are all anecdotal claimsthere are no actual studies on the carnivore diet, so its impossible to say for sure what the health effects are, good or bad.
It could be the placebo effect, but it also could just be the result of weight loss," says Langer. It literally has no logical explanationits not based in science at all.
Langer also stresses that just because one person goes on the carnivore diet and has healthy blood vitals and reduced symptoms of a chronic condition, doesnt mean that this will be true for everyone.
Some people can eat more saturated fats and be okay, so that could be a reason their blood pressure and cholesterol are within the healthy range, she says. They also may have neglected to mention that theyve lost weight, which in itself will make your blood pressure and cholesterol go down. They also may just be lying.
In case dietitians warning that it's not a good move wasn't enough, here are some other reasons you might want to avoid this mono-diet. First, it's a high-cholesterol, high-sodium diet; while the NCBI low-carb diet review cited above showed positive results, a 2018 study in The Lancet found that low-carb diets paired with high amounts of animal protein (versus plant-based protein) are associated with higher mortality rates. This may partly be due to the higher amounts of cholesterol and sodium found in animal-based sources of protein.
With the carnivore diet, youre also sacrificing lots of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Look, protein is good for youbut it doesnt give you everything you need. This diet is a horrible idea, says Gorin. It cuts out important food groups, including fruits, vegetables, grains, and healthy fats.
In fact, it could be downright dangerous for people with certain health issues. The high amounts of sodium and protein consumed may cause complications for people with chronic kidney disease , and eating too much saturated fat is a problem for people at risk of heart disease.
Yup, it's not a smart idea. Theres a reason [health experts] say to eat the rainbow, says Gorin. You need a variety of foods for optimal health. These include fruits and vegetables, healthy fats like avocado and olives, and whole grains like quinoa and brown rice. You get so many important nutrients from these foodsfrom vitamins and minerals to antioxidantsthat are important for good health.
Langer agrees, as does, well, science. Youre essentially cutting out foods that have been proven to be good for you, and that have never proven to be harmful.
She also points out that, in addition to important vitamins and minerals, plant food contains fiber, which has been proven to promote weight loss , weight maintenance, improved cholesterol, and a lower risk of heart disease and stroke .
Plus, fiber from plant foods are digested in the bowel by good bacteria...it improves gut health , says Langer. On the carnivore diet, youre missing out on all of these potential health benefitsand not only that, but you might start feeling pretty damn constipated from that lack of fiber.
It's also worth pointing out that the USDA and the American Heart Association say the best diets are composed of mostly plant foods and limited amounts of saturated fata.k.a. the opposite of the carnivore diet.
The Dietary Guidelines advise limiting saturated fat to no more than 10 percent of total daily calories, explains Gorin. Too much saturated fat can increase your cholesterol levels. So for a 2,000-calorie daily diet, you should get no more than 200 calories, or about 22 grams, of saturated fat."
Gorin also points out that, if you were following the carnivore dietsay, by having a few eggs and a few slices of baconyou'd get more than half of that amount for breakfast alone.
Technically, its possible to eat meats lower in saturated fat, like skinless poultry, lean cuts of pork, and fish. But the carnivore diet recommends fattier cuts of meat (a.k.a. cuts high in saturated fat), because most of your calories on the diet should come from fat.
The claims of this diet are just so crazy, Langer says. Its supporters are saying that vegetables are horrible, and that carbohydrates are toxic. None of this has ever been proven by science, and any studies theyre citing are not credible.
Langer also emphasizes the fact that the carnivore diet could really take a toll on your mental and emotional health, too.
Youre going to be isolating yourself from social situations, and thats just not okay," she says. Mental and physical health go hand-in-hand in terms of their impact on your health and your life.
The bottom line: If youre looking to lose weight or improve your health, its best to do it through sustainable lifestyle changesnot going HAM (literally) on meat or animal products.

18-year-old Utkarsh Pandey led an unhealthy lifestyle and soon enough, he found himself battling obesity. A humiliating incident in school made him ditch the bad habits and turn over a new leaf, losing as much as 20 kilos in less than five months. To know how he did it, read his transformation story:Name- Utkarsh PandeyOccupation- StudentAge - 18 years
Height- 5 feet 9 inches
City - Lucknow
Highest weight recorded- 106 kilos
Weight loss - 20 kilos
Duration it took me to lose weight- 4 months
The turning point in my life- I was never really ashamed of being fat or overweight and didn't really pay heed to the comments people made behind my back. However, my turning point was when a teacher mocked me at school and made me stand in front of the class, scolding me for being overweight. This shattered my confidence and it was on that day I decided to lose weight and get fit.
My breakfast- Omelette, made with 3 egg whites. When I feel like having something different, I go for a plate of poha which is so healthy and filling.
My lunch - For lunch, I have a bowl of yellow daal, a serving of green veggies with one chapati. With this, I have some salad as well.
My dinner - 5 boiled eggs (without the yolk) and a salad bowl tossed in one tablespoon of olive oil.
Post-workout meal - Before going to the gym, I drink a big glass of protein shake (at least an hour before going). Sometimes, I eat a slice of brown bread with low-fat peanut butter spread (organic). I try to stick to my diet on most days, but on weekends, I treat myself with either a slice of pizza or a scoop of ice cream.
My workout- I work out for five days a week, for approximately 1.5 hours. I spend 45 minutes doing weight training and do 30 minutes of intensive cardio. I have realized that mixing weight training and cardio is the best way to lose fat and build muscle in a good way.
Fitness secret I unveiled - The biggest weight loss secret for me has been eating in moderation. Restricting portion size does not drain you of energy or make you feel hungry. Instead, it helps boost your metabolism.
How do I stay motivated?- The results I have achieved so far are the biggest motivators for me. If I compare my older pictures to how I look now, I feel an instant kick of motivation. Although I felt pretty embarrassed, I feel that I need to thank my teacher for pushing me to make the change.
Even though I lost weight slowly initially and hit the plateau, I did not lose hope at all. This is what I would like to tell anybody reading this. Keep working on yourself and sooner or later, you will see the results.
How do you ensure that you don't lose focus- The changes I see in myself makes me stay focused on the goal in mind and keep working on presenting a better version of myself.
What was the most difficult part of being?- The most difficult part of being overweight was that I couldn't perform physically strenuous activities on days. Even if the comments did not bug me, I realized that people look at you in a different way which deeply hurt me.
What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? - ten years down the lane I want to stay healthy and fit. I don't want to change my goal one bit. I just want to stay as healthy and fit as I am today. As they say, health is wealth.
What are the lifestyle changes you made? I overhauled my sedentary lifestyle by making some changes:
-Start my day by going for a 1 km jog in the morning-Having green tea, which is good for your immunity.-Drink at least 3-4 litres of water every day.

Lauren Mayfield, 34,of Montgomery, N.Y., lost 85 pounds onWW (formerly Weight Watchers). This is her story in her own words.
I had been a yo-yo dieter my entire life. When I was younger I had less to lose, but Id tend to go up and down a lot. As I got older, the amount that I kept losing and gaining steadily increased. My last gain was during my second pregnancy. I had lost 50 pounds after having my first son, and I was excited to try to stay as healthy as possible throughout my second pregnancy. Unfortunately, my dad lost his battle with esophageal cancer when I was 4 months pregnant, and I fell right back into old habits and had gained 80 pounds by the end of it.
I was at my heaviest at 32 years old, and I weighed 240 pounds.
By the end of the day, my entire body would ache. I remember lying awake at night and crying because my hips hurt so badly. It was also really hard to do basic things, like get on the floor and play with my son or carry both of them up stairs without being completely out of breath. I knew that I didnt want my children to go through the pain of losing a parent at a young age like I had. That really motivated me more than anything, and still does nearly two years later.

My second son was born on February 16, 2018, and I can remember sitting in my hospital room looking at my brand new baby and deciding then and there that I had to do something about my weight. I was only 32 years old, and my grandfather died of a heart attack when he was only 19 years older than I was at that point. I wanted to give my babies way more time with me than that. That morning I downloaded the WW app and I havent looked back!
This program is amazing because nothing is off-limits. I dont have to cut out a major food group. I can go out to dinner with my girlfriends or go to a party, and still make it work. Previously, when I did WWI had been on and off WW for almost 20 yearsId lose the weight and then stop tracking. Now, I realize that I need the structure and support of this plan forever. Im now a lifetime member of WW, which I truly believe will allow me to keep the weight off for good.
I LOVE breakfast! I generally have 2 eggs over easy on a light English muffin with some fruit. I also make a really delicious quiche using a low carb tortilla as the crust (check #quichelaurin for more deets!), or have a Built bar and a banana.
I have low-sodium ham or turkey and ultra-thin cheese on light bread or a low carb wrap, with some pretzels, carrot sticks or fruit.
A Fiber One brownie, veggies with a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese, WW snack bars/chips, pretzels, air-popped popcorn.
Turkey meatballs with Ronzoni 150 pasta and homemade sauce, air-fried Shake and Bake chicken tenderloins with some tater tots and a veggie or naan pizza. (I use low point naan as the crust with homemade sauce and fat free cheese.)
Greek yogurt mixed with powdered peanut butter and drizzled with a little sugar-free caramel sauce, Greek yogurt ice cream bars or a Fiber One brownie with a little chocolate PB2 on top.
When it comes to exercise, I am very active without even trying just from running around after two toddlers. I aim to get 10,000 steps a day, and I generally hit that target without much effort. My weight training comes in the form of lifting a 25-pound baby all day!

Ive lost 85.6 pounds in a year and 9 months.
What sets this journey apart from previous ones is that this time I wasnt in a rush. I just chipped away at it every week. I finally stopped focusing on perfection and just worked on making small changes that eventually added up to big results. I also realized that I cant do this alone. I created an Instagram account (@laurin_ww) to document my journey, and I have created an amazing community for myself there. Having the support of other people who are going through the same things as me has been incredibly motivating and helpful.
I also started focusing on other areas of wellness, like my mental health, and began going to therapy once a week. That has taught me ways to deal with stress and my emotions without needing to turn to food. Its still something Im working on, but Ive made a ton of progress with it so far. Overall, having a plan like WW that makes it easy to make great food choices, having the support of a community, and focusing on overall wellness has helped me make this a lifestyle, rather than a diet.

If you thought eating keto meant having to give up your love of taco-flavored things, think again. Taco Bell is launching a new line of snacks inspired by its famous sauces and they also happen to be low in carbs.
The fast-food chain's Cheddar Crisps are made with baked cheese and come in three flavors: Nacho, Mild Sauce, and Fire Sauce.
According to a press release, all three varieties of the crisps come in two sizes and are currently available at participating 7-Eleven and Kroger locations. They will also soon be available via Amazon. In addition to being keto friendly, theyre gluten free and vegetarian.
Trending stories, celebrity news and all the best of TODAY.
This isnt the first time Taco Bell has taken its flavors from the drive-thru to the grocery store. In 2018, the chain launched a line of tortilla chips in Fire, Mild, and Classic flavors. Taco Bell later expanded the line with limited-edition Diablo and Reaper Ranch flavors.
Taco Bell has a long-standing history of creating cheesy menu items on shelves at nationwide retailers. As masters in this space, the brand relied on cheese to be the ultimate source of flavor and crunch, and serve as a keto-friendly option for all fans, a Taco Bell spokesperson told TODAY Food.
The keto diet, a low-carb, high-fat eating plan, has soared in popularity over the last few years thanks to several celebrity endorsements and devotees who say they've been able to lose weight quickly. Plenty of companies have hopped on keto bandwagon to offer dieters more snack options that fit into the restrictive plan.
Keto-friendly brand High Key sells a similar snack to Taco Bells new Cheddar Crisps called Cheese Crunches. They come in four flavors (cheddar, cheddar and bacon, Parmesan cheddar and everything spice), and are made with cheese and egg whites. The cheddar flavor has 180 calories per serving and contains 14 grams of fat, 13 grams of protein with zero carbs.
Another popular snack brand, Whisps, sells a similar baked cheese cracker. These little rounds are made like High Keys Cheese Crunches, minus the egg whites, and contain just cheese and various spices. Whisps' cheddar cheese flavor contains 170 calories per serving, 14 grams of fat, 10 grams of protein and 1 gram of carbs.
In comparison, Taco Bells Cheddar Crisps contain 160 calories, 11 grams of fat, 14 grams of protein, and 3 grams of carbs per serving.
While keto dieters rave about the positive effects they see after following the diet plan, registered dietician Shahzadi Devje told TODAY that there is "insufficient research to make firm conclusions about the long-term effects of the ketogenic diet on certain health parameters," so a strict keto plan may not be the best choice for everyone.
If Taco Bells Cheddar Crisps arent enough to satisfy a real craving for something spicy and cheesy, Taco Bells in-restaurant menu offers options that suit many diet types, including vegetarian and keto, since everything on the chain's menu can be customized to order.

In-N-Out Burger, smoothies, and ways to gain weight for the NFL Combine – SB Nation
![](https://www.dgw.tv/wp-content/themes/elegant-brit-b/images/caticon.gif)
![](https://www.dgw.tv/wp-content/themes/elegant-brit-b/images/comicon.gif)
The NFL Combine is a place where the best and brightest football hopefuls come to be dissected with the utmost precision. Just about everything you can measure is counted at the combine, down to hyper-specific minutiae.
Among those many measurements is weight, which is perhaps most important in the trenches. Some linemen try to lose weight for the combine, while others need to gain weight. The latter can lead to some interesting choices for accelerated weight increase in a short amount of time.
Enter Netane Muti, a Fresno State guard who checks in at 315 pounds. Thats not too much different than his listed weight of 307 as a junior in college, but its an increase nonetheless. I think we found the secret to Muti adding weight.
What Muti might weigh is neither here nor there, but Id like to discuss his choice of burger. This hits close to home for me, as I worked at In-N-Out in high school, which was over 25 years ago. The largest burger I ever saw in my In-N-Out days was an 8x8, and that was big enough to fit in a single box, with no room for fries.
A 10x10 is just a massive concoction, and far too unwieldy for a mere two slices of bread. As someone who has polished off hundreds of In-N-Out burgers in the day, I consider anything above a 4x4 to be too much for one burger. For one, the thing is just too difficult to bite into.
Also, Im not sure what the proper condiment-to-meat ratio is for a burger, but 10 patties and a normal amount of lettuce and tomatoes is too unbalanced, in my opinion. My vote for anyone looking to consume 10 meat patties in one sitting is to get two 3x3s and a 4x4, each within its own buns and with a more delicious ratio of accoutrements to meat.
My other reaction to Mutis boast was that I didnt think a 10x10 was even possible. In-N-Out has the simplest menu of any fast food chain, and doesnt even list any burger larger than a Double-Double, their signature offering. You can delve into the secret menu and get larger burgers, but I thought the biggest allowable these days was a 4x4, for the reasons offered above.
So I was glad that Jonas Shaffer also tweeted a picture of what I first assumed was Mutis burger, but instead is a photo at least six years old, if not older. So I wont go into a detailed breakdown of Mutis condiments, since we really dont know. (My go-to is grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, no spread, and add pickles, if you were wondering.)
A 10x10 burger is something to order once, to say you did it. Its like visiting the Empire State Building. Sure its an amazing structure, but the payoff isnt worth all the hassle of going through it in the first place. Just order three or four burgers that combine (get it?) for 10 patties, and call it a day.
Eric Stephen
St. Johns offensive tackle Ben Bartch told reporters in Indianapolis that he gained weight in a much less appetizing way than eating In-N-Out. Try not to gag when you read what went into his breakfast smoothie:
Bartch, youre doing it all wrong! Eat In-N-Out burgers like your fellow combine participant! While its true that there actually isnt an In-N-Out location near St. Johns campus in Minnesota, he couldve done a lot better by eating a burger for breakfast every morning and been much better off, TBH.
Morgan Moriarty
Bartchs shake is horrifying. Its disgusting. Its ... unnecessary. The general flavor profile of this shake is bunch of trash, and thats precisely what hes putting in his body.
If we break down this grotesque soup into its parts we get the general caloric profile of this shake.
Thats roughly the average caloric intake a person should have in a day, in one shake. Granted, hes trying to gain weight, so its understandable but I cant help but feel like theres a better way.
Mens Health ran a story last year exploring some of the best high-calories weight gain shakes, and while not the absolutely gut-busting 2,000 calories, this is a perfect one.
12 oz water, milk, or yogurt2 scoops vanilla-flavored protein1 apple, core removed, and sliced into wedges1 cup of spinach2 tbsp of almonds cup of uncooked oatsIce as neededCinnamon to taste
Im a big fan of the apple and cinnamon flavor profile here, and we can easily increase the 535 calories the shake has as written. We change out the 12 ounces of water for milk, throw in an extra scoop of protein, double the almonds and oats, and we now have a 1,000-calorie smoothie that is MUCH better than the egg-based madness he was was consuming. If he were to add some peanut butter to the mix, hes where he needs to be and doesnt need to hold his nose to drink it.

Stephanie Braunlich Changed Her Life and so Can You – The Montclarion

Stephanie Braunlich is a senior at Montclair State University majoring in television and digital media with a minor in political science. She can be recognized by her sun kissed complexion, dark defined eyebrows, crystalized hazel eyes and thick, caramel highlighted waves that fall gracefully onto her shoulders.
In March of 2019, Braunlich decided that she was going to embark on a journey that would shape the rest of her life. With her robust work ethic and her unwavering passion, she managed to conquer losing 60 pounds in six months.
Its something that I have wanted to do for a while, Braunlich said. I knew I was getting heavier so my boyfriend and I had a conversation and we both decided we wanted to start losing weight.
Braunlich and Chris Vadinsky, a senior at Montclair State majoring in athletic training and Braunlichs boyfriend of two years, recognized their unhealthy lifestyle and took the initiative to make a drastic change.

The comfort of college drove Braunlich to sit at her heaviest weight of 215 pounds. Her unhealthy pattern of overeating and drinking began in the beginning stages of her relationship with Vadinsky. Their honeymoon phase provoked them to lavish date nights where they overindulged on deeply fried and salted foods, followed by late nights out drinking sugar and alcohol infused cocktails.
Following a year of this poisonous lifestyle, Braunlich had a moment of self-realization and began her journey to better health.
When it first started I was only dieting until I lost 25 pounds and then after I hit my 25 pound mark thats when I started incorporating exercise, Braunlich said. I like working out but it spikes your appetite a lot and my problem was I was basically overeating all the time so I wanted to lose weight first, shrink my stomach and then start working out again.
Braunlich found success in her change of routine and began altering her usual schedule to incorporate new healthier alternatives. In lieu of pizza she enjoys garlic rubbed pita bread coated with light sauce and cheese. Her refrigerator and pantries have been since wiped clear of processed foods and substituted for snacks such as kale and spinach greek yogurt dip.
Braunlich attends the gym at least three days a week, assuring her body some much needed rest days. Each morning on her way to class she embarks on the never-ending Newman Catholic stairs that attach her residency on Valley Road in Montclair, New Jersey to the Montclair State campus.

When the stress of balancing a demanding class schedule collides with adjusting to her new lifestyle, Braunlich seeks comfort in loved ones.
Kara Marinelli, a senior studying nursing at the University of Delaware, has been a constant form of encouragement for Braunlich. The pair have been inseparable since middle school, supporting each other through the ups-and-downs that are expected from life.
Marinelli has noticed major psychological and physical changes in Braunlich since her journey began.
Her confidence has skyrocketed, Marinelli said. She has become so much more of her own person. She knows what she wants and knows exactly what her goals are and how to get there and with weight loss that was no different.
Marinelli is not the only person that admires Braunlich for her perseverance and passion. Braunlichs mother, Susan Braunlich, is her daughters biggest supporter.
When Stephanie decided to get in shape she began this journey that was life changing, Susan Braunlich said. Making better food choices led her to shop for healthier groceries and preparing different recipes with healthier and more flavorful ingredients. I could not be any prouder of her.

Vadinksy sought inspiration from his girlfriend and credits his recent lifestyle adjustment to her ambition to improve her health.
Just seeing her exercising and losing weight really changed my attitude about [losing weight] and made me want to get better with her, Vadinksy said. I put on weight in the beginning of our relationship and I definitely just wanted to stick with her through this because it is definitely easier to do it with someone.
Braunlichs accumulated weight loss so far is an impressive 60 pounds, averaging to 10 pounds per month since she began her journey. Despite her feeling more secure and confident in her own skin than ever before, this is a lifestyle that Braunlich has adopted and has no intentions of reverting back to her old ways.
Braunlichs advice to other college students ready to change their life is simple: be prepared.
They say that your 20s is the time that you mold yourself into the lifestyle that youll have, Braunlich said. The only reason why it was actually successful for me is because I was mentally ready for it.

Human Growth Hormone, more commonly known by its acronym HGH, is an important part of the endocrine system that is responsible for muscle growth, fixing cells, promoting optimal metabolism, and a variety of other functions in the human body. Adequate levels are essential for good health. In most cases, our bodies produce the right amount. Sometimes, though, due to disease or advancing age, HGH levels can fall.
When HGH gets too low, negative health effects become noticeable. Low HGH levels trigger weight gain, fatigue, and, ultimately, disease if left untreated. Lifestyle and diet play huge roles in maintaining HGH levels getting plenty of regular exercise, eating lots of good fats (fish, avocado, etc,) as well as nutritious vegetables, and getting regular sleep are great natural ways to boost HGH.
Sometimes, though, despite lifestyle modifications, HGH remains too low. In these cases, HGH therapy can be a great option. Under the care of a licensed professional provider, it is possible to safely raise your HGH levels with minimal chances of negative side effects. Always remember: you must seek HGH therapy from a skilled and experienced provider never attempt HGH therapy on your own.
HGH is naturally produced in the pituitary gland. It is secreted into the blood in controlled amounts where it travels throughout the body, binding to appropriate cells and signaling important changes. Specifically, when HGH travels to the liver, it triggers the release of another important hormone called insulin-like growth factor 1, or IGF-1. Together, these hormones are responsible for the building of tissue in the body hence their name and their activity of encouraging muscle growth.
Most of the negative side effects of HGH can be avoided by taking the right dose and proper health monitoring by a professional throughout the course of therapy. Recorded side effect include:
