Deadly Diets: Study Links Unhealthy Eating To Nearly Half Of American Heart Deaths – WBUR

wbur (Damian Dovarganes/AP)

No single bag of chips or bacon burger will kill you unless you choke on it. But in the big picture the very big picture how we Americans eat does often send us to earlier graves, and a new study out of Tufts University quantifies just how deadly our diets may be.

It estimates that over 318,000 deaths a year, ornearly half of American deaths from major "cardiometabolic" killers heart disease, stroke and diabetes were hastened by unhealthy eating.

I spoke with Renata Micha, an assistant research professor at Tufts and lead author on the paper just out in the journal JAMA. Our conversation, lightly edited:

What did your study do?

We developed a model that used national data on dietary habits and mortality, and used updated evidence of diet with cardiometabolic diseases to estimate how many deaths in the United States can be linked to poor nutrition. This enabled us to estimate deaths linked to poor dietary habits for the whole population, and also by age, sex, race and education.

And what did you find?

We estimated that nearly half of all deaths from heart disease, stroke and diabetes collectively, cardiometabolic diseases are linked to poor diet. And it wasn't just too much 'bad' in the American diet, it's also not enough 'good': Americans are not eating enough fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains vegetable oils or fish. Americans are overeating salt, processed meats and sugary-sweetened beverages. This is especially true of men, younger adults, blacks and Hispanics, and people with lower levels of education.

Is this a first in any way?

This study builds upon our earlier work and the work of other researchers. Instead of taking a microscopic view, we're zooming the lens way out to look at national patterns. In doing so, we hope to identify dietary changes that could benefit the greatest number of people. These results are representative of all Americans and help us identify what's most important in the American diet.

You found that high salt consumption is a particular threat but isn't salt somewhat controversial?

There is a little bit of controversy about how low is low enough for sodium, but all major national and international organizations agree that we should be eating less sodium. Americans are still eating a lot of salt in their diets. And as you've mentioned, overeating salt, in our analysis, was linked to more deaths than any other food or nutrients

Among your findings, what was the worst news and the best news?

The bad news is that Americans are not eating healthy. The good news is: But we now understand which foods we need to target to prevent Americans from dying prematurely from cardiometabolic diseases. I'm actually still amazed at how people and policymakers tend to forget the simple yet vital truth: Eating healthy can and will prevent people from dying from premature heart disease, stroke and diabetes. If we remember that simple fact, most of us can have healthier and better lives.

"Preventing deaths through promoting healthy eating habits is the most timely and urgent priority of our time, from a health perspective."

What do your findings mean for policy?

There are tremendous policy implications to this. Instead of spending billions and billions of dollars on simply treating disease, we have an opportunity to focus on preventing disease. Doing so would improve productivity in the workforce, decrease health care costs, and improve the lives of millions of Americans and their families. Preventing deaths through promoting healthy eating habits is the most timely and urgent priority of our time, from a health perspective.

Are there a couple of things that could make the most difference?

Potential population strategies include, for example, economic incentives such as subsidies for more healthy foods, or taxation of less healthy foods; improvements to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; and incentivized or mandated product reformulation, such as to reduce additives such as sodium and trans fats.

For example, the present findings suggest that salt is a key target population-wide salt reduction policies that include a strong government role to educate the public, and engage industry to gradually phase out or reduce salt content in processed foods, appear promising. In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has recently announced voluntary sodium reduction targets for the industry.

And at an individual level?

So simply as a take-home message of our findings: Try to eat more of the good and less of the bad. Basically, eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains, vegetable oils and fish; and eat less salt, processed meats and sugary-sweetened beverages. Start by making one healthier choice each day and build on it.

Ultimately, for an individual, these findings are general results but don't mean, "If you eat badly, it will kill you," right?

Well, it definitely increases the risk of dying prematurely from these diseases. But of course, for any given individual there are other factors that will modify this risk, such as other dietary habits, their genetics or their physical activity. Just as with any medical or public health intervention, our findings should be considered as estimates of the average population.

Readers? Will knowing these latest big-picture stats affect your eating?

Eating in social settings may be greatest temptation for dieters – Medical Xpress

March 7, 2017

For people trying to lose weight or maintain a lower body weight, the temptation to overeat is stronger when eating in a social setting, according to research presented at the American Heart Association's Epidemiology and Prevention / Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health 2017 Scientific Sessions.

The 12-month study of 150 people (90 percent women) used smartphones and a custom-developed application to capture data as dieters moved through everyday life. The participants were trying to limit calories to a specific number per day. In response to questions, the dieters reported their surroundings, what they were feeling and whether they were tempted to break or broke their eating plan. Temptations were defined as eating a food or amount of a food inconsistent with a weight loss eating plan, for example, having a large serving of a calorie-dense food such as French fries or cheesecake or several pieces of candy at the office.

Researchers found:

One challenge many people who have lost weight face is maintaining the weight loss. "Research into understanding and preventing weight regain is vital for improving the public health. Helping an individual anticipate challenges and problem-solve high-risk situations can empower them to stay on track with their weight loss/weight maintenance plan," said Lora E. Burke, Ph.D., M.P.H., study lead author and professor of nursing in the Department of Health & Community Systems at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.

These findings can guide experts in providing extra support to individuals who are overweight or obese and struggling to lose or keep off weight, Burke said.

Researchers can also use the data to develop support that can be delivered electronically to dieters in real-time, right when they need it, she added.

Participants' average body-mass index (BMI) was 34.0for instance, a 5-foot-4 woman weighing about 200 pounds, or a 5-foot-9 man weighing 230. In the U.S., more than one-third of adults have a BMI of 30 or more, the level considered obese.

During the study, women weighing less than 200 pounds were given a daily diet target of 1,200 calories, and men at that weight had a target of 1,500 calories. For men and women weighing more than 200 pounds, the goal for women 1,500 calories and 1,800 for men. Dieters aimed to limit fat to about 25 percent of total calories, Burke said.

The technique deployed to survey the dieters, called ecological momentary assessment (EMA), has been used to study topics including addiction, pain, work stress and asthma, EMA is a method of assessing people's emotions and behaviors in real-time and in their natural settings, Burke said, noting that the new study was longer than previous ones done using EMA.

"We know that our interventions lead to successful weight loss. However, our biggest challenge today is long-term maintenance of the weight loss, which requires sustained behavior change," she said.

Diet Doc Promotes Blood Sugar Reduction and Healthy Weight Loss … – Marketwired (press release)

IDAHO FALLS, ID--(Marketwired - March 07, 2017) - Over 30% of all Americans are overweight or obese individuals, regularly dealing with issues like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and certain types of cancer. With high body mass index (BMI) levels, and therefore increased health problems, reducing excess body fat and pursuing healthier lifestyles is crucial. Because obesity and excessive weight gain are generally preventable issues, weight loss programs are a great option. However, with the surplus of fad diets available, choosing an ideal diet can be challenging. Popular diets offer "immediate" solutions based on restrictive dietary methods that do not work for everyone. Realistically, lasting weight loss requires consistency, customization and professional health supervision.

According to Dr. Nishant Rao, resident medical expert at Diet Doc, a nationally recognized weight loss center, it is crucial to regulate blood sugar. When it is well-regulated, blood sugar levels have no negative effects on weight loss or health. When blood sugar level elevates too much, however, the body's ability to process glucose is obstructed and it stores the extra glucose as fat. This can ultimately lead to worse issues like diabetes, heart disease, or even obesity. For this reason, blood sugar regulation is a crucial component of any comprehensive diet program, as the experts at Diet Doc like Dr. Rao recognize.

According to Dr. Rao, "Diet Doc uses low carb dietary principles along with the Ketogenic diet to facilitate sizable drops in blood sugar, which can allow for fat loss to occur more effectively." In severe cases, variations of intermittent fasting, or IF, may also be employed in order to "create extended fasting windows which further reduce blood sugar, allowing for fat to get used without storing sugar." At Diet Doc, the unique dietary needs of each individual are considered in order to maximize efficiency, safety and maximal results. For this reason, all patients receive custom-designed weight loss programs and diet consulting. With a safe, doctor-supervised diet plan and guidance for life, Diet Doc patients gain the following benefits within the very first month:

For patients who struggle with portion control or emotional eating, Diet Doc offers solutions like Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) and Metwell, which helps balance metabolism and reduce appetite without harmful side effects.. Medical weight loss solutions like these, especially in combination with popular diets like the Ketogenic Diet, have been shown to be effective when doctor-supervised and customized to an individual's dietary needs, according to Dr. Rao.

With a team of doctors, nurses, nutritionists and motivational coaches, Diet Doc products help individuals lose weight fast and keep it off. Patients can get started immediately, with materials shipped directly to their home or office. They can also maintain weight loss in the long-term through weekly consultations, customized diet plans, motivational coaches and a powerful prescription program. Can fasting *ever* be good for you? – Netdoctor

Fasting has been practiced for centuries, and has been popularised as a diet trend over the last few years, with celebrity advocates including, Benedict Cumberbatch and Hugh Jackman. But can it really help you lose weight and get healthier?

Intermittent fasting is a term used for eating patterns that cycle between a fasting and non-fasting period. During the fasting period, you either severely restrict your calorie intake, or don't consume any food at all. The emphasis is on when foods are eaten, and there are several variations to this type of eating regime. Some of the recent popular trends have included:

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

The 5:2 diet: Made popular by TV doctor Michael Mosley, this plan involves eating approximately 600kcal on two days of the week and then eating regularly on the other five days.

The 6:1 Diet: This involves either consuming a low-calorie diet for one day of the week, or completely fasting for 24 hours, followed by six days of eating regularly.

Research says this could be the best exercise for weight loss

The 16/8 method: This is the plan Hugh Jackman has been reported to follow, and involves fasting for 16 hours each day, and then eating for 8 hours of the day e.g. eating only between 12pm and 8pm.

Eat food every other day: In this plan 'fast' days where individuals consume <25% of baseline energy needs (approximately 500kcal) are alternated with 'feast' days where regular food consumption is permitted.

Eat-stop-eat diet: Once or twice a week individuals do a 24 hour fast (e.g. fast from 6pm one day to 6pm the next day) and then eat regularly on the other days.

The claimed health benefits of fasting go far beyond weight loss. "In animal studies (in mice), there is some evidence that intermittent fasting may prevent cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders," explains Registered Dietitian Junee Sangani. "And in humans, there have been links made to it reducing obesity, hypertension, asthma, and rheumatoid arthritis."

However, whilst these findings are very promising, Junee stresses that more large scale clinical trials on humans are needed to assess the longer-term effects (e.g. over a year) of intermittent fasting, to really understand its true benefits and to enable clinical recommendations to be made. There is also not yet enough evidence to determine which 'variation' of fasting may be most effective plan for these health outcomes.

Intermittent fasting can be an effective method of short-term weight loss. "A recent scientific statement from the American Heart Association (2017) reports that there is evidence that both alternate day fasting and periodic fasting may be effective for weight loss," explains Junee. "Changes in body weight from alternative day fasting and periodic fasting showed a 3-8% body weight decrease in all studies after 3 to 24 weeks."

However, what's lacking is data to show that this weight loss can be sustained in the long-term. The nature of fasting means that long-term compliance for most individuals is likely to be difficult. Beyond not knowing whether fasting will help keep the weight off for good, there are also some other potential pitfalls for using this approach to shed those extra pounds.

1. It focuses on when to eat, not what to eat

Emphasis tends to be on calorie-counting rather than nutrition. "For this eating pattern to work it's really important that on the 'feasting' days, the foods chosen are packed full of nutrients i.e. plenty of fruit and vegetables, wholegrains, pulses, low fat dairy and lean protein foods," says Junee. "Eating foods high in fat and sugar like cakes, biscuits, chocolate, fried foods and sugary drinks may result in people not gaining the benefits from the fasting days."

2. There can be negative side effects

Anecdotal reports suggest that intermittent fasting may cause difficulty sleeping, bad breath, irritability, anxiety, depression, dehydration and tiredness.

3. It can interfere with your social life

Eating is very much a social activity, and being restricted to only eat in certain time windows may heavily impact on an individual's ability to attend social events and join others in normal mealtimes, etc.

4. Not suitable for all

"Fasting should not be recommended to pregnant women, young children, or anyone with a history of eating disorders as it has the potential to create an unhealthy obsession with food," says Junee.

People may choose to fast for various reasons be it health, religion or weight loss, and it may work for some. "In these cases, it's important for professionals to provide a tailored approach to these individuals based on any medical conditions they may have," recommends Junee.

However, the bottom line is that fasting is a form of dieting - and this is why Accredited Practising Dietitian Joel Feren does not tend to recommend it to his clients if weight loss is their goal:

"I practice a non-diet approach, and rather encourage people to recognise signals of hunger and fullness and to eat accordingly. Those looking to lose weight have often tried several diets and are still at square one overweight and in poor health. What these clients often require is a little TLC, not another diet. I find the patients who learn to become intuitive eaters, and who practice a more mindful approach to eating, will often have better long-term outcomes with regards to improvements in health and weight loss."

Question: What do you think about meal delivery systems like Blue Apron, Home Chef, and HelloFresh? Are they worthwhile if weight loss is my primary focus?

Answer: These types of programs can be a great option, but it depends on what youre looking for.

Many people like the fact that all the prep work is done for you. Lets face it lack of time and energy to cook is a significant barrier to healthy eating and all the rewards that come with it.

Others like the fact that you can choose a calorie level, and Ive also heard people say that meals have been quite fresh and tasty, which was a bit of a surprise.

The downside, however, is that sometimes these plans can be almost too easy, which makes the transition from the program that much more difficult.

You still should educate yourself on how to eat healthy for the long-term, and these programs dont necessarily help you do that. They can also be quite expensive, especially if you continue to grocery shop and add other foods as snacks between meals. In the end, you should look at these factors and make the best decision for your situation.

Dr. Art Mollen: Seeking a miracle treatment for hair loss in women – AZCentral.com

If there is anything more important to some women than perhapsher hair style, it is when she starts losing it.

In fact, thats why there are hundreds of products designed to prevent or stop hair loss and even regrow it.

There is a normal cycle of hair growth that lasts between two to six years. There is also a normal cycle of hair loss that last about three months.

Althoughthere is not one cause of hair loss, it is often a coefficient of your genetics, hormonal changes and aging.

In fact, you may have noticed pregnant women often have fuller hair than normal, which is because of elevated hormone levels.

And if youre following a fad diet, losing a significant amount of weight quickly, you may lose some hair.

Although, a lot of women may think that their thyroid is underactive, when they start to lose hair, this is seldom the cause.

Hypothyroid conditions have many additional symptoms including dry skin, fatigue weight gain and constipation.Besides thyroid conditions, anemia can cause hair loss as well.

A condition called alopecia areata causes patches of baldness and is often linked to your immune system over reacting. This may be caused by anxiety, stress and depression.

And perhaps many women dont realize that birth control pills, which suppress ovulation, may also cause hair to fall out.

Certain medications including birth control pills, steroids, blood pressure medications, acne medications, antifungals and chemotherapy can also contribute to hair loss.

But perhaps the most common cause besides hormonal changes is stress and trauma.

So what can you do to prevent it and what is the magic elixir to grow it?

First of all, if its a medical condition, it must be treated. However, if its a medication, it may be possible to switch to another.

Rogaine is a topical medication to regrow hair and approved for female hair loss.

As far as special laser devices or other machines for hair growth, there are none scientifically supported by the FDA.

At the end of the day, all the shampoos and conditioners cannot replace the benefits of proper diet, exercise and stress management, when it comes to having a fuller head of hair.

Oh one more thing, be sure to pick the right parents.

What time is Mutiny on Channel 4 tonight, what was the Mutiny on the Bounty and who is presenter Ant Middleton? – The Sun

The new Channel 4 documentary will reenact the 1789 journey of lieutenant William Bligh and his crew of 18 loyalists

IF youre looking for weight loss tips, Channel 4 documentary Mutiny should come with a dont try this at home warning.

Thats because presenter Ant Middleton and his crew lost up to four stone in as many weeks as they carried out a 3,600-mile voyage in rough seas to reenactthe 1879 journey of lieutenant William Bligh, the captain of the HMS Bounty.

Channel 4

Along the way they faced storms, famine and the biggest test of their mental strength, which will certainly make for gripping viewing.

Mutiny is Channel 4s new documentary which follows a nine-strong crew accomplishing a 3,600 mile journey in the South Pacific first carried out by lieutenant William Bligh and 18 loyalists in a rickety 23-foot long ship in 1879.

The voyage took the crew 48 days and tested the physical and mental strength of everyone involved.

Jamie Fry

Captain of the boat, Ant Middleton, is a survival expert, but even he revealed it pushed him to his limits, telling the Radio Times: Mentally speaking it was the hardest thing I have ever done.

There was a real and ever-present risk out there at sea.

Part two of the show airs at 9pm tonight on Channel 4.

Ant Middleton is a Special Forces professional who is best known for appearing on SAS Who Dares Wins.

Born in Portsmouth in 1981, Ant grew up in rural France and aged 16,he joined the Royal Engineers before moving to the Royal Marines five years later.

He also spent time in 9 Parachute Squadron Royal before passing the selection tests to join the Special Boat Service in 2008.

This means he has served in the holy trinity of the UKs elite special forces, before leaving the armed forces in 2012.

Jamie Fry

The nine crew members of Mutiny set off with the same rations as William Bligh, including 16 x 2lb pieces of salt pork which was replaced with biltong due to customs regulations) and 28 gallons of water which had to last them 48 days.

Ant lost over three stone in four weeks while Luke Kane, the boats doctor, lost four stone.

Ant said: I knew how hard it was going to be so I put on an extra ten kilogrammes to my normal 85kg weight before setting off.

I lost all of that and 11kg of my own natural body weight so 21kgs in total. I think that indicates how tough it was.

Alamy

In 1879, British navy ship HMS Bounty was sailing from Tahiti to the West Indies but during the 17 month voyage, a huge rift developed between the crew and its tough young captain William Bligh.

In the middle of the South Pacific, a rebellion broke out, and Captain Bligh along with a handful of loyal men were forced into a tiny open boat and left to die.

Miraculously, they managed to survive and navigate 4000 miles to safety, despite being in some of the worlds most remote and unforgiving seas.

Hollywood told Amy Schumerto lose weight if she wanted to become a successful actress. For a short while, she listened, shedding some pounds for her film Trainwreck.

Im what Hollywood calls, very fat, she said. Somebody, like, explained to me, Just so you know, Amy, no pressure, but if you weigh over 140 lbs, it will hurt peoples eyes.

This Researcher Is Here To Debunk Your Favorite Celebrity Diets – Delish

Getty Pascal Le Segretain

While most of us are stalking our favorite celebrities to read about the crazy new diet they're trying or the detox they swear by, Timothy Caulfield has made a living out of debunking them. You wouldn't guess he's the sort to try the Gwyneth Paltrow-backed Clean Cleanse or experiment with cryotherapy, which claims to literally freeze your fat off, by his official profile on the University of Alberta website. He's a law professor there and the Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy. But scroll past the stem cell and chronic disease jargon and you'll notice something funny in the last line of his bio: Caulfield's the author of a book called Is Gwyneth Paltrow Wrong About Everything?: When Celebrity Culture and Science Clash.

Advertisement - Continue Reading Below

One click through to his Twitter page verifies that this is Caulfield's real passion. He's not buying Paltrow's goop and he doesn't think you should, either. Here are three things he wants you to remember.

In his book, Caulfield confesses something after being on Gwyneth's Clean Cleanse for a few days. "You will lose weight, temporarily, on a cleanse as I was clearly doing but it has absolutely nothing to do with the removal of toxins. The weight loss that happens on a cleanse is the direct result of two factors: eating fewer calories and monitoring what you are eating, which leads to eating fewer calories." At the end of the day, dieting (when done right and safely) is just eating healthfully, and your body will reap the benefits as long as you're keeping up the hard work. Apparently Tom and Gisele have the willpower to eat like damn patriots for the rest of their lives, and Taylor Swift can shake off sugar for the foreseeable future. Can you? As Caulfield put it: "Three weeks after my cleanse: All the weight is back on my old, flabby frame. Infuriating."

If there's one subject Caulfield harped on most in his book and on the phone with us, it's that there's no such thing as a scientifically backed detox. "Despite the remarkable popularity of the practice, there is absolutely no evidence to support the idea that we need to detoxify our bodies in the manner suggested by the cleansing industry," Caulfield writes. That's what your organs are for, and unless they aren't functioning properly, they're taking care of the detoxification process on a daily basis. So Beyonce's Master Cleanse and the teatox trend that every celebrity and their mother is trying? Not worth your time or money.

Sometimes they fall prey to the same scams we do. Kate Hudson, a supporter of the Alkaline Diet, has remained mum since its founder faced jail time for practicing medicine without a license. What's more, sometimes they don't believe what they're posting about on Instagram or Facebook. The world of celebrity endorsements is lucrative: Stars stand to make anywhere from $3,000 to $250,000, depending on the size of their following. I mean, what would you promote for that kind of pocket change?

Were always on the lookout for new ways to help us achieve out fitness goals and with summer fast approaching, who wouldnt like to lose a few pounds in a healthy way? So, we decided to give The Slender Blend and The Slender Plan a go.

Here, were going to walk you through each of the products in the collections to see if theyre products you should consider adding to your regimes to help achieve your goals.

First things first, The Slender Blend (the weight-loss protein powder) is available on its own as a 2.5kg bag, which works out at 60 servings, for 58.

This review is going to focus on The Slender Plan Vanilla Porridge collection, which includes a 1.2kg Slender Blend tub amongst other things.

Well get into the details of each product below but we really like the way everything is packed together with one goal in mind to help you lose weight and burn fat fast, and in a healthy way.

The Slender Blend is Protein Worlds best selling product and its not hard to see why.

Included in each serving of the powder is 24 grams of grass-fed non-GMO whey protein, as well as 25 vitamins and minerals. Most importantly, each serving contains less than 150 calories and has no added sugar.

In short, The Slender Blend is designed to control cravings and help your build lean, toned muscle. You can use it as a meal replacement or as a protein shake after your workout.

The first thing we loved about The Slender Blend is the taste. Theres nothing worse than dreading your post-workout protein shake because of the taste, and we can safely say that The Slender Blend is one of the best shakes we have ever tried. We sampled the vanilla flavour but there are a number of others available (salted caramel, anyone?). We mixed it with unsweetened almond milk but it works just as well with water or normal milk.

The best thing about The Slender Blend is the fact you can use it as both a meal replacement and post-workout protein shake. That means, you could use it as a meal replacement to shed a few pounds for a couple of weeks, and then as a normal protein shake to help you build lean muscle.

The Slender Porridge is included as your suggested breakfast during your weight-loss journey.

Each serving of the gluten-free porridge contains under 200 calories and less than a gram of sugar. Oats are a great natural source of sustained energy, and The Slender Porridge also contains added chia and flaxseed.

Weve always been big fans of porridge in the morning and The Slender Porridge went down very well indeed. It mixes well and most importantly, tastes great.

Also included in the collection are two bottles of supplements to help you on your way to losing weight. Protein Worlds Hunger Buster capsules are designed to keep those hunger pangs at bay and help you burn fat.

Each capsule contains a blend of Konjac glucomannan and garcinia cambogia, both of which can help to increase fat metabolism.

The glucomannan in the Hunger Buster capsules is derived from the Konjac plant. Its a form of natural soluble fibre and has been shown to contribute to weight loss. It also helps to draw in water, which causes expansion in the stomach to help with your appetite, and contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.

Meanwhile, the active ingredient in Garcinia cambogia hydroxycitric acid inhibits an enzyme that the body needs to make fat from carbohydrates.

Weve never had problems with our appetite but we took the Hunger Buster capsules as an experiment for two days running and found it helped us to know exactly when to stop eating.

The Fat Metaboliser capsules (previously called Fat Melter capsules) are designed to reduce the amount of fat you digest, boost your metabolism and increase the rate that your body burns fat.

The main fat-burning ingredients are guarana extract and green tea. These capsules contain a good amount of caffeine so its best to take these in the morning.

We found that our energy levels soared when taking one of these tablets every morning. We did some digging to see if other users had reported similar effects and indeed, boosted energy levels and mental clarity seems to be a widely-reported (positive) side-effect of taking the Fat Metaboliser capsules.

We did some digging around the internet to see what some verified buyers were saying about their experiences with The Slender Blend and the other products included in the bundle.

Generally, the reviews are very positive. The Slender Blend is one of Protein Worlds top-rated products and its no surprise that there are lots of positive reviews.

Leanne wrote on the Protein World website: I used this package religiously for 12 weeks alongside the coconut oil for cooking and tried to stick to lean meats and veg/salad. I lost weight easily and steadily and my confidence grew when I started buying clothes 3 sizes smaller! If you want an easy to stick to plan, this is it. Would recommend this to anyone serious about losing weight and gaining confidence.

Chloe loved the Fat Metaboliser capsules in particular: These take some getting used too. But after a couple of days you will notice all the benefits. I was so lazy before. These help you get the energy you need!! Really great!!
