The duration took me to lose fat: It took 3 months for me to lose weight and I have been able to sustain it.The turning point:
I was preparing for my CA exams in Delhi. During my finals, I put on a lot of weight. I didn't even realize I had gone from 67 kilos to 85 kilos. There was a time, I developed such a big belly, it was difficult to stand straight and see my feet.
During this phase, I was bullied by people, even those close to me. I knew, either I could get the weight gain get the worse of me, or fight it out.
I enrolled in a gym and started following the Ketogenic diet.
Breakfast- Paneer- 100gm (home made with low fat milk) + Butter -100gm +Veggies-100gm.I used to make any thing like Chilli paneer, Paneer dopyaja with these three things.
Lunch- Nuts (Soaked Almonds-25, Walnut-4, Friend Peanut-50gm-100gm & Anjeer -2)
Dinner- Mutton 500gm -750gm.
Any snacks I prefer: NoPre workout meal/drink- No pre workout meal/drink.
During workout- Water -1-2 liters with BCAA -1 scoop.
Post workout meal/drink- Whey Protein -25gm (Isolate) + Coconut oil- 25 g
My workout: My regime is a mix of cardio, weight training and functional training. These helped achieve fat loss as well as maintain it. During my transformation days, I worked out for six days a week and never skipped the gym.
Fitness secret: Workout became a priority in my life. I made a commitment to myself that for me to have a body like this, I have to put in efforts to take care of it no matter what it takes.
How do I stay motivated:- I do not look for motivation anywhere outside. I was my only source of motivation and inspiration. In the gym also, it was always ME Vs ME. I try to beat my yesterday, every today. I feel that one needs to scout for motivation from the inside. It has always been ME vs ME. I compete against myself and motivate my own self. Comparison against others isn't going to help.
Since there is no one else who knows my body better than myself, I, along with my elder brother designed my diet plan and workout. This kept me super focussed and meticulate.
How do you ensure you don't lose focus: My hard work and its result kept me focused. I feel, if, you are doing anything for your own self, anything that makes your inner soul happy, then no one in this whole world can divert your focus, except you.
What's the most difficult part of being overweight: I knew that all the extra weight was putting me at the risk of developing health issues. I used to sweat profusely and developed breathing problems. Then there's always the society. Life becomes problematic as people start to judge and look at you in a different way.
What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? I want to be the best and fittest version of myself. I want to be in a shape where I can do anything possible-be it acro yoga, stretching, gymnastics, or run a marathon.
What are the lifestyle changes you made: I make my own food every day and minimize my spice and sugar intake.I keep a count of my micros and macros with every meal.I also drink a minimum of six litres of water every day.

Of all the differences between men and women's bodies, one of the most baffling to many dieters is the way losing weight differs between the sexes; namely, where you put weight on, where it comes off and how excess weight spreads itself throughout the body.
Men tend to put weight on in concentrated areas such as their stomach first, with that being the first place weight also comes off, once they've embarked on a weight-loss program.
Whereas with women, fat deposits tend to be spread throughout the body, concentrating on certain areas such as the stomach, hips and thighs; something that's "crucial for childbearing," explains Janet Brill, PhD, RD, a Philadelphia-based nutritionist, who told Women's Health that increased fat in these areas means a higher levels of oestrogen, which is necessary for fertility.
"Men and women tend to lose weight differently based on the types of fat they contain and childbearing factors," says Romy Block, MD, an endocrinologist and co-founder of Vous Vitamin. She adds that weight loss is less about your natural body shape and more about genetics, how your hormones work, and your metabolism.
Brill explains that, if the first place you put weight on is your stomach, for example, "you'll likely lose weight from your midsection first as well". Although she does note that if you work out in general and therefore increase your metabolism, that will help to reduce your visceral fat (the dangerous middle-section fat around your organs).
"It's just a modest difference and doesn't count as spot-reducingbut it's something to keep in mind if your body hangs onto belly fat forever."

Oats, rye bran may reduce weight gain, hepatic inflammation
London, July 5 (IANS) Want to lose some weight? Read on. Researchers have found that the consumption of dietary fibre from oat and rye brans increased the growth of beneficial microbes in the intestines and reduced hepatic inflammation.
In addition, diets enriched with oat or rye bran were shown to attenuate weight gain. The effects of oat and rye were partly different, but both were beneficial for health.
For the study, published in the Molecular Nutrition & Food Research, the research team from the University of Eastern Finland, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland collaborated with the University of Hong Kong.
The health benefits of oat, rye and other whole-grain products have been widely studied, and their use has been associated with decreased inflammation and improved glucose, lipid and adipose tissue metabolism in human and animal experimental research.
In addition, they have been linked to a decreased risk of obesity, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular diseases and type-2 diabetes. Different dietary fibres are also known to have different health effects.
In the current study, the research team wanted to investigate differences in metabolites produced by gut microbiota and their interactions with host metabolism in response to supplementation with oat and rye bran fibres.
The study was an animal experiment during which mice were fed a high-fat Western diet for 17 weeks. Two groups were fed the same diet enriched with 10 per cent of either oat or rye bran.
Among the various gut microbial metabolites, this study focused on those especially relevant to the development of fatty liver disease, which is often associated with obesity. Thus, microbial metabolites were assessed by measuring cecal short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), ileal and faecal bile acids, and the expression of genes related to tryptophan metabolism.
The findings suggest that both brans have the capacity to create a favourable environment in the gut by supporting the growth of beneficial microbes.
Both bran fibres enhanced the production of SCFAs, leading to improved gut integrity, reduced liver inflammation. "In addition, both oat and rye supplementation were shown to attenuate weight gain associated with a high-fat diet," the authors noted.

Fraudsters can create and post adverts for fake businesses on Google within hours, according to a Which? investigation.
The UK consumer organisation also said it was worryingly easy to create a fake business page on Facebook.
News of its findings comes weeks after the Advertising Standards Authority announced it was launching a UK scam ad alert system in partnership with platforms including Facebook and Google, to help tackle bogus ads.
Which? created two linked fake companies a water brand named Remedii that can help you lose weight [and] improve your mood, and an online service offering pseudo health and hydration advice called Natural Hydration.
The consumer body said Google only required users to have a Gmail account to create adverts and that, while it did review those that were submitted, it did not verify whether the business existed or was legitimate, nor ask for proof of ID.
In less than an hour, the ads Which? created for both fake businesses were approved by Google. They racked up nearly 100,000 impressions in a month. The fake ad for Natural Hydration appeared above the official NHS Scotland pages when users searched for hydration advice.
Which? said that although Facebook had restrictions relating to adverts that could cause harm, it had still uncovered problems. Using a personal Facebook account that required only an email address or mobile number to set up, Which? created a business page for Natural Hydration and produced a range of posts with pseudo health advice to promote it. Which? paid Facebook to promote the page, which notched up 500 likes in a week.
A Google spokesperson said protecting consumers and credible businesses was its top priority. They said: We have strict advertising policies in place to protect consumers and prohibit ads that intentionally mislead users or fail to deliver on the promoted product or service.
When we become aware of ads that violate our policies, we take action. We are also constantly evaluating our policies and enforcement systems to continue to improve, and have recently introduced a new programme to verify each advertisers identity in order for them to serve ads on our platforms.
Google said it removed 2.7bn ads from its platforms in 2019.
Facebook told Which? the Facebook page that was set up did not violate its community standards. It said: We remove harmful misinformation that could contribute to physical harm, such as false health claims, and have strict policies against deceptive advertising and scams.
A Facebook spokesperson said it had various processes in place to deal with scams but none of the ads contained any harmful content and no attempts were made to sell any products via the Facebook page. This meant the page did not test these processes.

In a recent interview, former WWE Superstar CM Punk talked about the strenuous weight loss activities that UFC Superstars have to endure in order to qualify for their division.
On the Good Show podcast, Punk revealed what he and his colleagues went through and how he thinks UFC must improve in this aspect.
Yeah, Ive been a part of some pretty silly weight cuts just helping out teammates. I personally had a super hard time, says Punk. I just dialed it down from a long time out because it was something I had never done before so I didnt want to, you know, the week before Im supposed to cut weight, find out anything that I didnt want to find out.
Punk claims that he has a different mindset when it comes to the weight loss part. He preferred to play it slow when he started off at UFC.
I didnt want to be shocked, I didnt want to have to cut 20 pounds in that one week. I kept my weight above 10 pounds above, a week out. So if Im just sitting in the sauna cutting water, I can do it, explains Punk. But some guys, and girls- I think its harder for the women. They take it too extreme. And thats another thing.
Its no secret that UFC fighters undergo insane weight loss treatments.
Some fighters are even made to sit in a sauna wearing rubber suits in order to lose weight quicker. CM Punk addresses this and thinks that UFC has to make a few changes.
How can I say it to you? First and foremost Id love to see other weight classes added to UFC instead of that jump from welterweight 170 to middleweight 185, says Punk. We can get like 175 to 185. Most other weight classes jump up in 10-pound increments but you got that gap right from that 15 pounds. And I think theres a lot of bodies out there that would benefit at more weight classes.
UFCs primary weight classes mean a lot of other weights do not get to compete with each other.
Those that do want to compete have to lose or gain weight accordingly. Maybe UFC needs to cut them some slack as well by introducing more weight classes. What do you guys think about this interesting suggestion?

Marvels Iron Man VR game is finally here. The highly anticipated virtual reality game has been one of my most anticipated games since I got to test it out early last year. Because I had such glowing praise from my impressions, there was a lot of hype building up. I can confidently say the game definitely lived up to my expectations and made me really feel like I was actually a superhero in real life.

Can My Old PS4 Handle This?

When I first heard that the game would be on the PSVR, I was a little nervous simply because I had one of the original PS4s from 2013 and the PSVR headset itself was created in 2016 and even though you can continuously upgrade the software theres only so much the hardware itself can handle.
I have to hand it to the developers. The game held up pretty well and those concerns were quickly erased as soon as I got to be immersed in the world. I didnt really see any bugs or any issues. I do think weve reached the PSVR full capabilities though and Im excited to see what the next chapter in the VR headset world is, whether that be with the next console or the console after that but I think it definitely utilizes as much of the hardware as they could and it worked out fine.
The only other thing I was worried about was having to turn because this game requires you to move a lot and since the headset is attached to wires, I didnt want to get wrapped up and accidentally knock something over. The devs do a good job of making sure you stay safe at all times and give you different alternative options to make sure youre comfortable.
Hows the Combat / Gameplay?
Before you start this game, make sure you are hydrated and take many breaks because this is one of the more physically demanding VR games that Ive ever played in my years of VR, which has been a lot I must say. I found myself having to take more breaks than I normally would when it came to VR because when you think about it, youre flying around, you have these motion controllers, you have a headset on and will most likely be wearing headphones, youre using your arms to push you upwards, youre shooting blasters, while still turning a lot of different and turning your head up and down. So go into the game thinking it will be a marathon and not a sprint and you will be fine.
As far as the gameplay itself, while youre fighting as Iron Man, you have two main weapons that you use: The quick-firing repulsors and secondary weapons that you can customize and switch out. You have to hold up your hands, palm out, and youll use repulsor blasts; tilt your palm down, and your wrist-mounted secondary weapon will pop up. It took me a second to get used to it but the way they used the move controllers really felt like it captured how Iron-Man would really use his weapons. You can also throw rocket-powered punches by holding down a controller button to throw a powerful hit. If were being honest, I didnt use that feature much at all unless it was absolutely necessary and sometimes even forgot I could use it. For the most part, your repulsors will be the one to get the job done for you.
What About the Actual Story?
Although Marvels Iron Man VR game is an original story, you can tell it was inspired by the MCU. It does retread some familiar ground like Tony dealing with the consequences of his former life as weapon-maker and war profiteer and Pepper Pots becoming CEO, but this time the main villain is Ghost, who recently made her live action debut in Antman and the Wasp as played by Hannah John-Kamen. [In the VR game, Ghost is played by Chantelle Barry.]
The story itself wasnt a home run from a storytelling perspective but I thought it was a solid story overall. You could see some of the story plots ahead of time and a good chunk of exposition was delivered by your character off-camera. Some of missions felt a bit repetitive at times specifically when it came to taking down Droids that had been taken over by Ghost.
The story itself didnt reach the heights it could, especially when it comes to making you feel like Tony Stark, but at the end of the day I wasnt trying to play as Tony, I wanted to be Iron-Man. Because Ive been so invested in the comics and Tonys arc in the MCU, I didnt mind a simpler story especially since the focus was on his alter ego.
Biggest Critique?
This may not seem like a big deal but the biggest issues I had with the game itself didnt even have anything to do with the gameplay or the stroy. It had to do with the loading screens. The game is broken up into chapters and in each chapter there are multiple missions. When you complete one mission you are sent back to the loading screen to wait until the next round. Sometimes it can be super quick and other times I found myself standing there for 1-2 minutes. Like I mentioned earlier, this is already a physically demanding game so eventually those little minutes youre waiting will start to build up. When doing VR you want to be as efficient as possible because you shouldnt do it for long durations at a time so it was a bit frustrating having to spend extra time standing. Sometimes I would just take off the headset and sit until it was ready.
Should I Buy It?
I hate telling anybody whether or not to buy something especially in the middle of a global pandemic. That being said, if you already have a PSVR headset and have the financial means to get this game, then i say definitely do it. Getting to experience the feeling of being a superhero from the comfort of your own home is worth the money.

Of all the lockdown restrictions frustrating Australians, working from home is not one of them. In fact, survey upon survey show a vast majority of Australians now want remote working to be a regular feature of their lives.
Many workers are enjoying the flexibility to structure their days as they see fit, from replacing morning commutes with yoga to catching a few rays of sunshine on mid-afternoon walks. And despite the Covid-19 imposed adjustment, workers have remained as productive as ever.
The good news is the benefits arent going unnoticed. Business leaders are wasting little time making the necessary changes to accommodate remote working.
Prior to Covid-19 around 10% of our staff had flexible work arrangements, long term I expect that will be more like 40%, says Allyson Carlile, head of people and culture at insurance firm Metlife Australia.
The rigid corporate lifestyle that compelled workers to long office hours, often at the expense of family and personal wellbeing, is undergoing a pandemic-inspired revolution.
Historically, there was a view that remote working wasnt appropriate for law firms and the sector was somewhat fixated on presenteeism and being seen. The pandemic has put paid to that, says Andrew Pike, Australian executive partner at Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF). The law firm found its employees largely enjoyed the work-from-home benefits, which improved their outputs.
Many have found working from home makes it easier for them to complete tasks that require a great deal of attention or peace and quiet, Pike says. Working from home also means more time with loved ones. Confinement-induced relationship tensions aside, 66% of Australian respondents to a Salesforce survey say remote working has brought them closer to their families.
The new arrangement certainly had its sceptics, particularly at the beginning of the crisis. The insistence on presenteeism is a long tradition stemming from management fears of worker complacency. But with company heads now seeing the tangible benefits of remote working on productivity and employee wellbeing, those attitudes are quickly shifting.
Sending everyone home meant that leaders were forced to trust their people and our people showed that not only could they be trusted but, in a crisis, they would go above and beyond, Carlile says.
But the sudden enthusiasm for remote working over recent months can evaporate just as quickly without guardrails. Working from home can be quite liberating, but it can also end up being a bit of a prison, says Sara Charlesworth, director of RMITs Centre for People, Organisation and Work.
Working from home has the potential to affect the hours people work, and their decision to work at all. Already seen as an alternative to sick days before Covid-19, some research suggests many workers do not feel comfortable taking sick leave while working remotely.
Charlesworth also highlights the risk of overworking, or intensification and extensification as she puts it. Workers are increasing their output to compensate for the lack of visibility offered by an office, and to reassure their colleagues and bosses theyre online and working. This is bleeding working hours into home life, Charlesworth warns. A lot of people dont clock off at 6pm, they continue working.
Its a pattern observed at Metlife Australia, prompting company heads to nudge employees to disconnect from work. We encouraged people to set up proper workstations in a dedicated space where possible so they can leave work at the end of the working day, and set boundaries, such as switch off the computer, Carlile says, adding that employees eventually got used to the arrangement.
Companies are looking to remote working not simply for the benefits to productivity and work culture but to help cut costs amid the economic turmoil caused by Covid-19. It was certainly the motivation that led to energy giant Worley slashing 1,900 jobs and permanently moving some operations to remote working. It also prompted other Australian brands such as Westpac and Optus to announce similar shifts to remote working.
As revenue-strapped companies sift through the tasks that can be done remotely, they are also designating those that can be done without a human hand altogether.
The dangerous flipside was made most transparent by the recent Woolworths decision to cut 1,350 warehouse jobs. In explaining the job cuts, the retail heavyweight said it was building automated distribution centres that could do the work of humans, making warehouse employees effectively redundant.
Remote working is one way to cut costs, automation is the other and they come hand-in-hand as companies plan for survival. While some workers enjoy the luxury of remote life, others could be left without a job.
More companies are exploring automation technologies, and more companies are rapidly digitising their businesses, says Andr Dua, senior partner at McKinsey. As seen at Metlife Australia and HSF, companies have discovered during lockdown that a bulk of their operations can be done remotely. The alarming addendum to this point, Dua says, is that companies are also realising that their work can be performed with anywhere from 5%-25% fewer employees.
And the acceleration towards automation isnt just affecting warehouse workers. Office jobs will not be exempt from automation, Dua warns. In fact, McKinsey identified several office jobs such as secretaries, administrative assistants, bookkeepers and office clerks at high-risk from automation even prior to Covid-19. The pandemic is only accelerating these trends.
Inclusive training by way of wide-ranging, large-scale programs is needed, Dua says, to address the challenges of worker displacement that Covid-19 is accelerating.
If companies are adopting a digital-first, remote-working approach to their operations, then training efforts ought to focus on workers most vulnerable to job cuts and automation.
There is an opportunity to build a new kind of workplace, one that could be more inclusive if we are really committed to doing that, says Dr Niki Vincent, commissioner for equal opportunity in South Australia and convenor of the SA Chiefs for Gender Equity.
Women are overrepresented in automation-risky jobs, such as secretaries and retail workers. Vincent suggests governments can play a role in encouraging more women to study Stem fields, which will open pathways to the very likely-remote jobs of the future. The fact is there are still not enough women choosing to study things like engineering or coding, she adds, noting that only 16% of Stem professionals in Australia are women.
Companies also need to throw their weight when it comes to upskilling, and cease taking the easy road of downsizing. Upskilling is a fantastic idea, but it means youve actually got to invest in your workforce, Charlesworth says.
Downsizes, as witnessed at Woolworths and Worley, are likely to continue until companies acknowledge, or are incentivised, to upskill their employees instead of cutting them off the payroll.
As a country, we have really dropped the ball in terms of on-the-job training, Charlesworth adds.
Attitudes on remote working have shifted so dramatically in the last four months that workers are now setting expectations for flexible conditions as a factor in choosing the right job. Companies who want to go back to a 9-to-5 mandatory working culture will be shooting themselves in the foot, Vincent says.
Cultural acceptance of remote working will encourage more companies to embrace a flexible approach. If they dont, they could lose out on talent. Organisations that are more opportunistic about finding the right talent when they can, wherever they want to reside, will have a competitive advantage, Dua says.
That message has been heard by business leaders, who also see a benefit in accessing a larger talent pool not confined to geography.
[That] we can access talent in remote locations means we can really assess the best person for a role based on capability, with location not being a significant factor, Carlile says.
One of Australias leading law firms appears to be following suit, with Pike declaring the office will now be the exception rather than the rule.
It is an exciting thought living in the Hunter Valley or sitting on a beachfront in Port Douglas while remotely plugging into a decent-paying corporate job headquartered in Sydney or Melbourne.
If the pro-remote attitudes at Metlife Australia and HSF are indicative of corporate Australias thinking, that dream might actually become a reality. The challenge now is ensuring vulnerable workers arent left behind.
